My mom has been a resident in memory care at Sunrise Fountain Square for about a year now. I’m very happy with the care that she has been receiving. The staff members are all so kind to her, and my mom always responds to them very affectionately, so I know that they’re treating her well. Mark and the other managers follow up with me when I have questions, and they let me know if mom needs anything. There are lots of activities and family members are encouraged and welcome to take part as well. Some of the other residents on her floor are quite sociable, and my mom is noticeably more alert and talkative as a result of spending time in the group setting. I looked at a lot of places before moving mom to Sunrise, and I’m happy that I made the right decision!

My mom is a resident of Sunrise at Fountain Square. She recently returned after a short stay in rehab. Upon her return, Mom was simply overwhelmed by all the hugs and kind words expressed to her by the friends she has made as well as all of the people who take care of her and even those who work in the background; whether it’s administrative, marketing or the billing office. Yesterday, I received a phone call from one of those people who work in the background. Someone who should not even know my mom, really but yet, she does. Because the people who work there have created a community for our loved ones. She shared a conversation she had just had with Mom. Mom moved often throughout her life, at least 20 times by the time she was 18 years old. She never felt she had a home until she met Dad and they bought their first home and lived there for over 50 years. Then Dad passed and Mom could no longer safely be in her only home, until now. Mom has found her second home at Sunrise at Fountain Square. She is surrounded by caring staff, at every level, and wonderful residents she considers all family. My brothers and I are relieved and grateful to everyone at Sunrise who has touched her life in such a special way and made it possible for us to find a safe and loving place for our Mom to call home, again.

My sister has enjoyed living in a 2-bedroom unit in the assisted living/memory care (Terrace Club) section at Sunrise Fountain Square since June 2025. We continue to be impressed with the variety of supporting services that are available for residents who are interested. These include daily exercises, a weekly summary of participation that is provided to family members, and occasional group outings. There are specialists in speech, occupational and physical therapy, and a visiting dentist and podiatrist. The care givers make every effort to assess and accommodate the unique and changing needs of each resident. I live 1,000 miles away, and very much appreciate the willingness of the staff to develop and maintain frequent and candid communications with me via phone, text, and email.

My grandma was a resident in memory care at Sunrise for a few months. While some staff were kind, the meals were good, and there were activities she enjoyed, we were ultimately dissatisfied with our experience and would not recommend to others. Our main concerns were safety, cleanliness, and overall quality of care. There is a dog that roams freely in the lobby and was consistently aggressive toward me and my young nephews. The dog snarled, jumped up at us, and clearly had issues around children. This made visits stressful and unsafe. An aggressive dog should not be allowed to roam freely in a facility where vulnerable residents, children, and visitors are present. Staff did offer to crate the dog if we called ahead but this didn’t feel like a sufficient solution. We also felt the facility was not as clean as it should be and were disappointed with the level of care provided.
