This is a beautiful building with awful staffing and a revolving door of administration. No one is held accountable. My father experienced a year of inadequately trained and insufficiently staffed caregiver personnel issues in the Memory Care Unit culminating with an unwitnessed fall (following a fall 1 week prior from a recliner in his room which he didn't remember how to un-recline) causing a broken hip from which he succumbed 2 days later. I had to hire a private day-time caregiver because I was concerned he would not be fed, hydrated, turned, or toileted adequately, and luckily Hospice was present for his demise. If you are considering this facility, ensure that they have an Executive Director and Wellness Director who have been there longer than one month, and ask what their caregiver staffing is and get a feel for the turnover. See if they have resolved the issue of allowing entry into the MC - a caregiver had to be present to use a key fob to let visitors in or out. It could take up to 8 minutes. When my father was there, the activities often consisted of just sitting in front of a TV with inappropriate programming on, often with no caregiver present (they were likely tending to someone in their room, but there was no way to call them). There were multiple incidents where I was the only one sitting with them and would have to instruct one of the other residents to sit down because she wasn't using her walker. I personally donated a bingo set (which they used only rarely, at the beginning) and multiple games, and I would read aloud to the residents because I was so frustrated at the lack of activities. Be sure to ask to look at an activities calendar and make sure you can tell what they are doing on the Assisted Living side versus the Memory Care side. My father's missing hearing aid was found on the floor in the bathroom near the toilet after being AWOL for 6 days - made me wonder how often the bathroom was being cleaned. If your loved one wears compression stockings, keep a close eye on them - the staff often did not apply them correctly which would cause sores. I visited my father 6 days a week (my son went on the other day) and spent 65% of my time talking to new administration or complaining about issues, rather than being with my dad. It was exasperating and exhausting. I would not recommend this facility as it was as of April 30, 2025. If you are considering it, be sure to do your due diligence.

I recently moved my mom to StoryPoint and I can say it was some bumps in the road BUT with the help Pat throwing my Mom's birthday dinner I can say all is forgiven. She stayed in constant contact with me even threw my last minute adjustments and accommodated everyone. The food was great the service was outstanding and I can not thank her enough!! All of my family were very pleased with the facility and the service we received today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
