Assisted Living
A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.
Independent Living
Designed to help older adults who want to maintain an active and independent lifestyle, these communities offer services and amenities that cater to residents’ needs, while encouraging a sense of community and freedom from the responsibilities of owning a home.
Memory Care
Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.
Life Plan/CCRCs
Also referred to as Life Plan Communities, these communities offer a comprehensive continuum of care for residents. CCRCs offer multiple levels of care, allowing seniors to transition between independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care as their needs change throughout their aging journey.

Although it has been quite a while since my mother had to leave Springhouse Independent Living Community for more care, those 7 years were her best years. She thrived there, enjoyed her friends and activities, an elegant dining room, shows and activities, socialization. Although Independent living is not designed to provide nursing care, there were times when she needed to be looked in on. She had to leave for medical issues. So now, if I want to remember the good times, in my mind's eye, I see her at Springhouse all gussied up for dinner and chatting with friends.

My mother was at Springhouse for two years and passed to be with the Lord in 2019. I should’ve written a review then but it was just too hard. Unfortunately, the care she received at Springhouse was spotty. She often needed assistance to go to the bathroom or to get ready for meals. Sometimes the caregivers came to help her swiftly and other times she had to wait for too long, especially to go to the bathroom. For some reason, almost all of the caregivers are from Haiti, so one often heard Creole spoken in the halls and dining room. Frankly, it was like a clique that you could not penetrate. Several of the Haitian women were not very kind. My mother was afraid of one caregiver in particular. When I asked that she not come to my mother’s room, they told me that she would continue to be assigned to my mother. The administration was unresponsive and insensitive. I wish all the staff were trained to be kind - and were let go when they were not kind. It would also help if the caregivers would come from many cultures so that the dominant language on the caregiving team was English, which is the dominant language of the residents.

I love the people at Springhouse. Like me they are old or getting old or already very old and all interesting! Old …. I expected. Interesting….not so much. What a gift!

I would recommend Springhouse to any one interested in a place that cares for residents, doesn't miss anything, but also respects the privacy of residents.
