Sonata Boynton Beach

Best decision we have made. Mom is living again. When mom arrived at Sonata, she had all but given up. Within a few days, we noticed a big change for the better. Now that she's "HOME" all she can do is talk about the great staff, food, programs, new friends, fun, her beautiful room, cleanliness and being happy. Mom has gone from sad and lonely to happy and full of life. Our family thanks the ENTIRE STAFF at Sonata for giving mom a much deserved second chance at life. She is thriving. BTW, I'm the overprotective son, I'm there regularly and get to see all the residents and interaction between them and the staff. I'm quite impressed. Mom gets up and out for the day at 7am excited to head out to a new day of quality living. We haven't seen her this happy and full of life in quite some time. When I first arrived at Sonata Boynton Beach to move Mom in from another ALF that had gone downhill, as so many do when they change hands, I was so pleased to find a community of kindness with a lovely physical environment, too, both inside and out. And now, three months later, I’m inspired to write because it is such a relief to visit with Mom each day on FaceTime when I’m not there in person, and to see that she’s a happy camper. She’s had few complaints — the occasional gruff aide, the occasional disappointing meal, the occasional disruption from fellow residents expressing their distress publicly — but every day she has something positive to say. She tells me how “very caring” the staff is both to her and to her peers; how the residents are so very kind and attentive to one another; and how so many of the meals are delightful. So kudos to management, nursing staff and aides, and to the chef.

More like 'a home away from home' or a 'bed and breakfast' than an assisted living facility. Staff is very friendly and caring. There is always an activity to keep the residents busy. My sister is very happy with her choice to live here.

The staff at Sonata Boynton Beach is absolutely AMAZING! On several occasions, Erica (the Lifestyle Director), Lindsay (the Memory Care Director), and several of the wonderful nurses at Sonata have brought groups of Sonata residents to our art studio (ArtSea Living) in Boynton Beach to paint pottery. Each time, I am blown away by the level of compassion and care the staff show toward their residents. They go above and beyond to ensure that each resident, regardless of their memory care needs, has a meaningful and enjoyable experience. Some of the residents had a dedicated nurse who sat with them and assisted them throughout the entire activity, helping them paint and making sure they were comfortable and engaged with their artwork. Other residents, who were more independent, were given the freedom to be creative on their own. Yet, even those who could work independently still received much care and support from the staff, ensuring they felt encouraged and had a smile on their face.... Making sure they had some good ol' FUN! What truly stands out is the personalized attention they give to each senior. I could tell they really KNOW the unique needs of every resident. The warmth and familial atmosphere they create is heartwarming and speaks volumes about their dedication to the well-being of their residents. Erica and Lindsay treated everyone like they were a true member of their own family. It honestly brought a happy tear to my eye to see that there are still people out there that really, truly CARE! Which sadly, is something I question from time to time. I cannot recommend Sonata Boynton Beach highly enough. From what I have seen.... If you are looking for a place where your loved ones will be treated with the utmost respect and care, this is the place! These are the people! ---Sami @ ArtSea Living
