Simi Hills

My mom has been at Simi Hills for 3 years. We have been through a lot of staff. The team at Simi right now is the best in the business. We got a new General Manager at the start of 2025 and she is phenomenal. She has brought in amazing employees that care about the residents. The community is always gorgeous and clean. Hands down the best group of employees at any senior living around.

Wonderful environment. Great people. Nice residents. Reasonable prices. Great food. Birthdays are fun. They listen well and have immense patience. They respond very quickly to even the most minor requests. They do an excellent job producing meals that everyone can partake of easily and has great flavor. Don't change a thing except maybe a little bit less salt sometimes. We are all very happy with everything at this point. Could not be better. Beautiful setting. Warm and friendly people. Maybe a few more parking spots.

My mom, Sara, was a resident of Simi Hills for over 3-1/2 years. We were very pleased with the staff, genuinely caring and providing best possible service to this Independent Living Senior Community. I was also very grateful that the residents were "sharp" and provided lively meal conversations that developed into genuine friendships. Simi Hills offers a variety of activities and social opportunities such that there is something for truly everyone. They are thoughtful and do their best to honor the needs of everyone. My mother celebrated her 100th birthday here last year, and was treated royally. She had been generally independent up until her last month. The middle of this year Mom's health started to decline and we were blessed to have Choice Hospice and Caregiving programs on site at Simi Hills to attend her needs. Choice is a new 24/7 service provider at Simi Hills, and they could not have been more helpful, respectful, professional and kind. They truly were a godsend and allowed my mother to live out her final days in the comfort of her own apartment. Hanna, the Choice RN, patiently guided us through the ups and downs associated with one's last days. The attending medical doctor was able to order a wheel chair, medications, and finally a hospital bed which were delivered to Mom's room. I was able to stay with her, as well as host visitation from family members. As Mom's needs became more complicated, the Choice caregiving team was available at all hours of the day and night to graciously assist with tasks too difficult for me. Mom also was thankful for the extra care she received from the certified nursing assistant, who served under Hanna. Additionally, we had the support of a caring Chaplain and a knowledgeable social worker who helped educate me regarding final details. I cannot imagine a better ending, if a life must come to a close, than what we experienced. Simi Hills staff and residents, plus the Choice Hospice and Caregiving teams were all very encouraging and kind. Sara and I would want you to know how much we appreciated each one of you.

Been here two months now and love it. Great facilities, really good staff (very caring), good food and really enjoying the relationships with the residents. This place is special.
