Shorewood Senior Living

I have lived at Shorewood since September 2021, and I love this little community. As a very active 87-year-old, I appreciate the independence that Shorewood provides. I travel occasionally and feel completely comfortable leaving, knowing that my home is safe and well looked after while I'm away. I enjoy most of my meals in the communal dining room, but when I prefer some quiet time, I can simply order my meal to go—it's easy and hassle-free. The meals are delicious andhey are always open to suggestions for different meal ideas. The staff is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Small maintenance tasks are handled promptly, and staff members respond immediately whenever the emergency button is used, day or night. Regular housekeeping frees me from chores I no longer enjoy, and they would even change my sheets and do my laundry if needed. The common rooms are available for organizations I belong to, as well as for residents' families to gather for special occasions. The staff works tirelessly, seven days a week, to keep Shorewood clean, attractive, and welcoming. The laundry areas are equipped with upgraded commercial-size appliances, which is a wonderful convenience. Although I occasionally miss cooking, there is a fully equipped kitchen in one of the common rooms that residents can reserve and use when desired. Overall, Shorewood offers the perfect balance of independence, convenience, safety, and community. I am very happy to call it home and would highly recommend it to anyone considering senior living.

I was able to bring my Therapy dog Ginger for visits. Kelli was amazing. This is such a happy place. Very welcoming. If I was older I would live here. Clean and homey.

I absolutely love everything about Shorewood Senior Living. I started looking for independent living for my mom back in 2025. At that time I was living in Hawai’i and my mom was in Florida. My husband and I knew we were moving to Florence in February (2026) Both Kelly and Andrea were extremely helpful! I secured a unit for my mom and when she arrived the end of March she wanted a larger apartment. Andrea and Kelly made it happen! My mom moved in middle of April. Unfortunately, at that time the cancer came roaring back and she passed on May 3rd. Everyone was so kind, helpful and very caring. I cannot express how lovely everyone who works and lives there are!

Came to check out the facilities with and for a family member in the market for A-living. They keep the property clean and trimmed. The staff was very friendly and was able to answer all our questions. The community was quite friendly as well, which is nice. We think it’s a great, clean friendly and quite place to call home.
