I sold my house in Medford in order to buy a house in Eugene where my extended family and I could all live together. But we could not find a suitable house for sale. We needed to find temporary living arrangements, my daughter in a “Furnished Finders” studio apartment and I in a motel. After 4 weeks, I researched senior apartments in Eugene, and landed on Sheldon Oaks.. What a blessing! The people I spoke with, Sherry. Liz, Ruth, and Monica, were very friendly and kind. I’ve been here for two months, and the new tract home I bought will be complete in a month or so, but necessary accessibility improvements need to be made. So alas, I will need to move out when It’s all done. I’ve made many friends here, my dog and I always feel safe and comfortable. The days are filled with many social activities directed by Shelley or guests. Meals in the dining room ( included in the rent) are pretty special too! If you are looking for a great seniors apartment, make an appointment, take a tour, enjoy a free meal, and hopefully you’ll find an apartment that is right for you.I’m glad I live here, you will be too!

Great experience! Looking for a place for my dad but didn’t know where to start. Ruth was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She asked all the questions I didn’t know I needed to ask and referred us to some great resources to help us transition my dad from his home to an assisted living home. Highly recommend. The food is really good too!

I was impressed by Sheldon Oaks and the level of professionalism their staff displayed. From the Executive Director, Ruth, to the Community Relations Director, Sherry, everything went smoothly. They were polite and prompt with a deep level of understanding and knowledge. Chef Patrick made an excellent lunch. The bread was so good, and the chicken cordon bleu was absolutely delicious. The residents were so kind and welcoming. The entire experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend Sheldon Oaks to anyone looking for an independent living community.

I came to Sheldon Oaks because of the staff. They are friendly and helpful from the very beginning. Yea there are adjustments but my attitude still remains that once you remain and enjoy each moment. I can do that here.
