My sister and I checked out several independent and assisted living places before we found Sheldon Oaks, or should I say Sherry. Sherry made us feel comfortable and confident that this was the place where our mother could thrive, and thrive she has!!! My mother loves Sheldon Oaks and Sherry, as it appears most of the residents do as well. She remembers everyone’s name, makes them feel welcomed and has a sincere interest and love for her job and the people she meets. She is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient in what she does. Sherry even came out to our house to go over the contract and made sure my mother’s transition into her apartment went smoothly. Her personality is perfect for her job as Community Sales Manager. If you’re considering Sheldon Oaks, ask for Sherry Matthews! She has such a genuine heart for the residents and their families. I’ve visited multiple times and have seen firsthand how much the residents adore her. They joke with her, light up when they see her, and truly trust her. She doesn’t just “sign people up.” She takes time to really listen to families, answer questions honestly, and help them feel confident in what can be a very emotional decision. As someone who works closely with families myself, I know how important that trust is. She treats every family the way she would want her own treated. Sheldon Oaks is lucky to have her.

After a year a Sheldon Oaks, I am happy to post about all the good things here! The staff is caring and genuinely want to help. Every staff member we see knows our name and makes us feel welcome. The food is imaginative and tasty, rooms are nice and comfortable, and we have opportunities to enjoy things outside our community. I am very comfortable and happy to be here!

I am very happy here at Sheldon Oaks. I love the way that management is running the community. It is a struggle to find anything to improve upon. The food is great. I am so pleased here. I marvel at the little things here. Flowers in different places, almost like there are angels here. The staff always has time to help us. The community is a happy place and very sincere.
