I moved into Senior Suites approximately just under year ago. They have several events and activities for all the seniors. Recently we had a Mother's Day tea party and also for Father's Day they had a beer tasting party with pizza and a trivia game. A few weeks ago we had a garden planting party where resident had planted flowers in our flower pots in front of the building as well as in the courtyard. We have a new patio set which is beautiful and comfortable. Since I've been here we've had some changes in staff and maintenance which is a excellent thing that happened. We now have the A-Team. In which anyone knows "that" makes one heck of a difference. From the office to the maintenance as well as are janitor it's really looking good everything is getting in shape. What sold my daughter when we came to tour was that a few of the residents were sitting in the foyer we got to speak with them as well as we asked them how they like living here. They have the daily wellness check after 11:00 a.m. if there's no movement they come to check on you. She also like the fact about the grab bars in the bathroom as well as the pull cord there and in the bedroom. We have a secured parking lot for our vehicles which they are assignedso you have your spot for your vehicle. We are hoping to get new exercise equipment because the current equipment is a bit older. We recently got new front load washers on all four floors. All in all with all buildings you do have your pluses and your minuses. But as well everything needs time and to get things done. But all in all I feel it is going in the right direction. The sizes of the apartments of the studio and one bedroom are comfortable for one person or two people as well as a small pet if you have one. It is income restricted community and independent living community. Some people may confuse and think that senior apartments are as well as assisted living or for memory but Senior Suites of Garfield Ridge is not. It is centrally located close to shopping as well as restaurants as well as transportation. If you're looking for a place for your mom, dad or parents or for yourself. Why not stop by and take a tour we do have a few apartments available and the residents that you meet are very friendly, funny as well as knowledgeable on many subjects. So come on in and see us. I'm sure that you will be surprised. My daughter and son are glad that we did and so am I.

Great place for seniors to live. My review is based upon the front office. There was a young lady working the office Saturday who needs a lesson in customer service because you don’t try to argue with anyone when you’re in the wrong ! For whatever reason the front entrance was still locked at 11 am which it should have been open. I had to have my elderly grandmother who can barely walk come downstairs to open the door for me since ms office lady couldn’t do her job. I sat outside ringing the bell for assistance for 10 mins. Mind you there’s cameras in the office they can see who’s at the door. Once my grandma finally gets downstairs she tells the worker the door is not open once she finally gets up to unlock front door, I let her know I been ringing the bell for a while she states with an attitude, the bell doesn’t work and proceeds to try to argue with me because I’m upset my elderly grandmother had to get up. ! For one there needs to be a sign that states doorbell isn’t working and that worker needs to not argue with a resident’s family. Very unprofessional and had my grandma upset.

just horrible! don" consider moving here. when I moved here 12 yrs ago it was nice. thru the yrs it has become so bad my blood pressure went up because of the way I was treated by the staff. They would just use their key to let themselves in. I would love to move but I am in stage 3 heart failure and that would be too stressful. Just recently we got a brand new manager who I like very much! She has a functioning brain in her head, is intelligent and on top of things, very professional and knows how to interact with all kinds of people. With this change I know it will be getting nicer to live here. I would not given them 1 star but there is no space for 0.

My mom has been living here for a few months now and she loves it! The place is clean and the residents are nice. It’s pretty safe and it’s close to her doctor. The apartment is very nice and cost. Have not had any problems with bugs as previously stated. They have a lot of activities for the residents too. She can’t be anymore happier with her apartment. Only thing I wish was better was the maintenance guy. He takes a while to fix things and usually it doesn’t get fix the first time. He doesn’t take the time to see what the real problem is. And the cleaning lady that cleans the apartments could do a better job but other that that the place is nice and they have new management so it’s gotten better. Will definitely recommend.
