I can't say enough good things about this facility. We brought my 89-year-old father in from a very bad experience in another local facility. Sage Mountain's property, general staff, med staff, in-house restaurant, activities, housekeeping, and maintenance are all top-notch. His room looks like an apartment rather than a room in an assisted living facility. The med staff are responsive, communicative, and kind. The general staff are friendly, kind, and attentive to the residents at Sage. The property is always clean and well-maintained. One of our biggest surprises is the food in the restaurant is delicious! He can go on any of the many excursions they offer or stay in and watch movies in the theatre room if he chooses... they have an excellent gym for the residents, too...in case they want to add another workout to the group exercise classes!—loads of options for him. He is unbelievably happy at Sage Mountain, which also gives my family a great deal of peace. Placing him at Sage has been our best decision since closing up his home. I am a very hands-on family member, so I am aware of the care and upkeep they provide daily. I appreciate the staff and their kind attention to him and how gracious they are to our family. They understand the process and difficulties associated with caring for an aging loved one. I am beyond grateful for their care and kindness to my beloved dad.

My dad is a resident at Sage and he loves it there. The staff and facilities are excellent. Christian, the director, goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are treated with care and compassion. The facility is beautiful and well maintained, the rooms are bright and clean and the grounds are lovely. The chef prepares 5 star meals that are always delicious. My dad says the staff know him by name and he feels like they are family. I am thankful to Christian, Dan, Gina, Jen, Amanda, Lily, Jasmine, Jennifer, Ryan, Desire, Diane, Ellen, Shane and all the staff whose names I may have left out. Thank you for taking good care of my dad.

I had an unpleasant experience with the receptionist at Sage, Unfortunately, their demeanor was far from professional or welcoming. When I approached them with a few questions, they avoided eye contact entirely, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Moreover, their responses felt abrupt and lacked the friendliness one would expect in a customer-facing role. A receptionist is often the first point of contact and sets the tone for the entire business. Sadly, this encounter left me with a negative impression. I hope management can address this and provide the necessary training to improve the overall experience for future visitors.

Growing up in Newbury Park it was a one-horse-town, but I recently returned to my old stomping grounds for my best friend’s mother’s service after she passed away. Yes, an important and somber event, but I have to say I was truly impressed with the accommodations and staff at the Sage Mountain Living Facility! This place is situated in the hills of Newbury Park just North of the 101 Ventura Fwy and is simply the most well maintained environments for the aging. The grounds are beautiful and the facility inside and out is like something out of a movie. BEAUTIFUL! I was immediately greeted by the staff at the front desk and once I arrived to the room where the services were being held I saw so many faces that I didn't recognize: The staff and residents gathered to celebrate this wonderful woman’s life! It's rare to experience such warmth in one room, but I have to admit if I were to need a place to live during my final years on this earth I would definitely choose Sage Mountain! ❤️
