We have had a terrible experience at Sage Mountain. We were promised care but care was neglected. After only 2 weeks there, our father got a terrible UTI due to catheter neglect. We saw with our own eyes caregivers unaware how to provide care. On more than one occasion, we, family members had to show caregivers how to provide simple care. We were advised by our private in-home health care RNs and LVNs that care that was promised was not being provided and that the health and well being of our father was at stake. We were advised to remove them asap which we did on Nov 15, after being at Sage Mountain for just 6 weeks. Now, Sage Mountain is requiring that we pay for the entire month that our parents were not there. In addition, they are refusing to apply the deposit we paid to balance. We have had numerous conversations with the director, explaining that we removed our parents at the advise of professional medical personal and Dr for the safety and welfare of our father but, the director for Sage Mountain has provided no resolution. All they care about is getting money. This, most definitely was the most horrific experience we and our parents could have experienced. Unless your family members are completely independent, please do your research before making a huge mistake placing someone here.

The Care Team on the 3rd floor is really great. All the caretakers are very nice, and helpful; they communicate with family (me), and keep me abreast of how my mother is doing from the clinical perspective. I really appreciate that they make sure to keep me in the loop, and I'm not blindsided. This is something that all resident families should look for in choosing a facility.

My mom is a new resident at Sage Mountain and I must say, so far the experience has been very positive. The staff are absolutely wonderful and everything is clean and maintained.

I can't say enough good things about this facility. We brought my 89-year-old father in from a very bad experience in another local facility. Sage Mountain's property, general staff, med staff, in-house restaurant, activities, housekeeping, and maintenance are all top-notch. His room looks like an apartment rather than a room in an assisted living facility. The med staff are responsive, communicative, and kind. The general staff are friendly, kind, and attentive to the residents at Sage. The property is always clean and well-maintained. One of our biggest surprises is the food in the restaurant is delicious! He can go on any of the many excursions they offer or stay in and watch movies in the theatre room if he chooses... they have an excellent gym for the residents, too...in case they want to add another workout to the group exercise classes!—loads of options for him. He is unbelievably happy at Sage Mountain, which also gives my family a great deal of peace. Placing him at Sage has been our best decision since closing up his home. I am a very hands-on family member, so I am aware of the care and upkeep they provide daily. I appreciate the staff and their kind attention to him and how gracious they are to our family. They understand the process and difficulties associated with caring for an aging loved one. I am beyond grateful for their care and kindness to my beloved dad.
