Care

Assisted Living

A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Independent Living

Designed to help older adults who want to maintain an active and independent lifestyle, these communities offer services and amenities that cater to residents’ needs, while encouraging a sense of community and freedom from the responsibilities of owning a home.

Memory Care

Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

Life Plan/CCRCs

Also referred to as Life Plan Communities, these communities offer a comprehensive continuum of care for residents. CCRCs offer multiple levels of care, allowing seniors to transition between independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care as their needs change throughout their aging journey.

Skilled Nursing

Skilled nursing and nursing homes are residential facilities that offer medical care and support for individuals that require a higher level of medical attention and assistance. These are staffed by licensed healthcare providers and offer a range of services to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.

Personal Care

Personal care involves assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, medication management, and mobility support to help maintain independence and enhance day-to-day life.

Neighborhood

Pulling from a variety of reliable data sources, Walk Score® measures the walkability of any address, helping you understand how easy it is to live a car-free lifestyle. Transit Score®, when available, measures how well a location is served by public transit. Scores range from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating more amenities within walking distance and diverse transit options nearby.

Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing! Independent living is fine, nice location but that’s no different than living on your own. If you still drive don’t expect to be able to find parking close to your room. And, I do not recommend dining there. The place is filthy and mouse infested. I have made several reports to staff but to no avail. Going into Personal Care? Don’t expect to get any. They are understaffed and undertrained. There are a few gems but they can only do so much and are really only there for nursing needs, not daily care like personal hygiene, feeding, dressing etc. If you or a loved one are going into Personal Care expect to have to pay for additional private care on top of their astronomical fees.

Very clean. Staff is keeping up with covid regulations. Beautiful well kept inside and out. Huge facility a little confusing to navigate at first. Well I still get lost finding my truck in the morning. It's a good thing I like walking. Anyway I'd definitely recommend.

Our father was lucky enough to get a room at Rydal Park after having several falls, ending up in the hospital many times and having been through other rehab facilities. This place is heaven. I wouldn't mind moving in! The level of care and compassion the staff maintains along with their willingness (actually eagerness) to help you with the mind-boggling process of senior healthcare is outstanding. Every member of his care team was pleasant, excited to help and happy to explain their goals and plans. There was a warmth there we hadn't felt anywhere else. We found ourselves like deer in headlights suddenly having to navigate this process and their personalized attention to us made it so much easier. They really are a remarkable facility. His stay there was so successful for him (and us), we have applied for permanent residence for him and hope there is availability because I'm sure it's a long list to get in a place this good. Our country is not always kind to our seniors but after dealing with this community (and that's exactly what it felt like), I am beginning to believe it might all work out ok for us and especially for him.

Can not trust Marketing and some of Administration. Front Desk staff and many support staff are awesome. All staff overworked and it shows. Food and services declined over years, prices up. Independent Living Hillside Marketing continuously attempted to enter my mother's INDEPENDENT LIVING apartment after her death while we were cleaning out. Contract gave us time. Administration lied to our face, passing buck until I basically stalked them for answers. Her body was barely cold before they wanted to look at their next potential sale. Residents will just walk down the hallway and try to open unlocked doors. I asked a male resident what he was doing when alarmed by my dog's barking, and he just said sorry as he walked away....that he just wanted to take a look. My mother also claimed people would walk in, and we wrote it off to early dementia. After going through her things, so much is missing. Oh, and don't expect quick responses for help even with the emergency buttons they supply. There are not enough staff to help. Place is dirty. Looks shiny on marketing promotion days, but be sure to go into all of the elevators and entryways not just where the tour takes you. I was a frequent visitor after she signed, main caregiver before Covid outbreak, assigned caregiver once restrictions lifted at Rydal, and living there for over three months during her hospice days. I've seen and heard a lot, from residents and staff, in conversation and overheard. Really downhill since taken over by human good. Keep searching.
