I had a fantastic experience at The RydalPark Rehabilitation center. I had a lovely private room. The medical, nursing and support staff were knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, pleasant, patient, and encouraging. I connected with some other patients. The cafeteria staff made us feel like we were at a resort. There are weekly artistic activities for people like me who love the arts. I had the opportunity to attend a phenomenal Jazz orchestra concert, a classical cello and harp concert. I even got to illuminate my visual art ability. My family thought Rydal was a great fit for me too💯

I have been at Rydal Park/Rydal Waters for over 7 years. I am 92 and am so happy I moved here. I am sorry I did not move in sooner. I feel safe and secure, will always have access to dining facilities and have access to the wellness center. With any health emergency, medical personnel are always available. During the pandemic we were well taken care of. Maintenance is terrific. I enjoy movies but there are many. many activities for residents Team members are the best and so very helpful.

All that glitters is not gold. Rydal Park may look clean and award-winning, but my mom’s experience was far from it. Let’s start with Bernice in admissions who forgot to give me the admission paperwork until I chose to discharge my mom 3 wks later for her wellbeing. The excuse for the lack of professionalism was that she was out of the office for most of the month, which means nothing was on file. If this was my first experience with rehab I would have been overwhelmed and clueless and this should never be something experience or who represents the company. I would often visit to find my mom slumped in a wheelchair, her rehab sessions were held in the hallway despite a dedicated room upstairs. To me the physical therapy lacked quality, and staff presence in her room was minimal—even though I visited daily. As I even had to call because her call button wasn’t where she could get to it. I requested her wheelchair be changed so she wouldn’t be slumped over, only for a safety transportation driver to tell me the chair was broken and should have never left the facility, yet be in use. I was only notified of a post-op drs appointment 25min beforehand to see if I was attending which is would have been problematic if I didn’t check my moms voicemail. Her stent she went to get removed in that visit was already pulled out by the staff. Despite a posted “no straws” sign in my moms room, she was frequently given them. Dirty clothes were mixed with clean ones in her dresser to which is known but I was told for the staff it’s just a task. The overall atmosphere was cold—staff rarely greeted anyone. I ultimately requested an early discharge because my mom is not a task she’s a person and she’s my person. Her experience was one and that’s one too many. I would not recommend Rydal Park based on our experience but should you need to go I hope your experience is better than ours.

If we didn't live so far I definitely would vist here often. Emaculate, luxury retirement home. The staff and food were exceptional.
