Rose Senior Living – Clinton Township

At the end of my review, Rose Senior Living said they reached out with no response. just to be clear NOT one person has reached out to me or left a message!!!!! I would not recommend Rose Senior Living memory care. Even though some staff showed true kindness. There was still something different and unique about this particular caregiver. My family, and I had been incredibly grateful for an exceptional caregiver who went above and beyond in caring for my dad. He provided comfort, dignity and compassion that was unmatched, exactly what my dad needed and deserved during this terrible time. Shockingly the facility terminated this caregiver and his boss claiming he was spending too much time giving my Dad what they called “private care” This was NOT “private care” It was HUMANE, ATTENTIVE, and NECESSARY CARE during my dad‘s last days of life. It's heartbreaking to think that someone who clearly cared deeply about the residents was penalized for his dedication. This speaks volumes about the values and priorities of of Rose senior living. They should start with firing the workers that were awful and treated residences terrible with no respect, not fire the ones that truly care!!!

Disappointing Experience at Rose Senior Living I am deeply dissatisfied with the care my grandfather received at Rose Senior Living. While some of the staff were kind, the overall experience was extremely frustrating and concerning. The one caregiver who genuinely went above and beyond to ensure my grandfather felt comfortable and well-attended was unexpectedly fired. This caregiver’s commitment to giving my grandfather the attention he deserved was deemed "too much," which is both troubling and disheartening. It is disappointing to see a facility prioritize policies over the well-being and emotional needs of its residents. My family and I trusted Rose Senior Living to provide compassionate care, but instead, we were left feeling that the quality of care was compromised. I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking a loving and attentive environment for their loved ones

In September, we made the heartbreaking decision to move my father to this facility because his Alzheimer’s had progressed beyond what we could safely manage at home. It was one of the hardest choices my family has ever faced, and my mother, in particular, struggled deeply with it. For the first ten days my mother refused to leave his side, staying with him day and night until we could convince her to come home to rest. While there were challenges with the overall quality of care, one caregiver stood out above the rest. This individual had a genuine heart for the work and a natural ability to connect with my father in ways no one else could. They were the only one who could consistently get my father to eat, showing patience and compassion that brought our family much-needed comfort during a difficult time. As my father’s health declined in December, our priority became honoring my mother’s wish to bring him home so he could pass away peacefully with family. During those final weeks, knowing that this caregiver was there at the facility for my father brought us immense relief. He provided care, dignity, and humanity that far exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, the overall staffing at the facility often fell short, with many individuals seeming unqualified or inattentive to the needs of residents. We were eventually able to bring my father home, where he passed peacefully surrounded by family. However, it was disheartening to learn that shortly after, the facility chose to let go of the one caregiver and his boss, because they gave too much care to a man, my father, who was at the end of life, who was fortunate to find someone who gave their all to caring. who truly embodied what senior care should be about. It’s deeply disappointing that exceptional individuals who go above and beyond are not always valued as they should be. They terminated him and his boss, because they gave there all, in the level of care that we assumed we were getting taking my father there. I watched incompetent care givers, actually one who was awful, who was downright disrespectful to my father and others, and it took over a month before letting her go, and yet these two exceptional employees that showed heart in this facility, were terminated for the compassion and dedication as a care giver should be. The inconsistency in staffing and management’s decisions make it difficult to fully recommend this facility. And would you take your pet to a facility that doesn’t condone going over and beyond for someone you love. Well two of the heart of Rose senior Living faced a high price for their compassion , they had to pay an hight price and get terminated.

Although I do not work there anymore. I must say the facility is absolutely beautiful, cared for all the residents with love and dedication and respect. Management on the other hand is very unprofessional, does not take the full responsibility to actually care and appreciate the hardworking staff or the kind hearted residents. Food is very much uncooked and will still serve it to both the community members and residents, along with staff members. Does not go above and beyond to appreciate the caregiver nor show any type of respect or appreciation.
