Rock Creek Senior Living

I can't say enough wonderful things about Rock Creek Senior Living! We were apprehensive about moving my mother-in-law, who had been diagnosed with dementia, from her own home to a senior living setting. She was not open to the idea of moving from the familiarity of her home, but we knew she needed to be in an environment that provided more safety and social engagement. Holly, Tiffany and the rest of the team assured us she would adjust with time. Within 24 hours of moving my mother-in-law in to Rock Creek, we began to see her blossom! She is happy and content and we are relieved that she is in an environment that is so caring and nurturing. The smile is back on her face along with the sparkle in her eye. She so enjoys the activities led by Karin and her team. The move-in was smooth due to the caring team at Rock Creek. Special thanks to Jordan; Janet and Crystal and their entire care team; Molly and the kitchen team; and Robert and his environmental team for making her transition so seamless! We are additionally grateful to Hannah for the dementia caregiver information and assistance she provided to us prior to move-in.

My Mom recently moved to Rock Creek Senior Living in Ankeny. At first the move was tough but once she was acclimated to Rock Creek she is enjoying every minute of it. Rock Creek keeps my mom very active through her mind & body with all their activities. It seems they always have something going on: singing, playing drums on exercise balls, playing their form of: beach ball, sock hop. Creating art. Having young children visit and do activities with them. Outings on a bus. Having a dinner menu to pick from like a restaurant. The list could go on and on. I haven't been there yet myself as I live out of State. But many family members have gone and all are impressed. I will be there soon beginning of June 2025. Also, I found this place through a place called mom. They were very helpful with the process.

As the Resident Services Director here at Rock Creek, I have been incredibly impressed with our Wellness and Nursing team. I came to Rock Creek in September, and time and time again, wellness and nursing have gone above and beyond for the residents and their care. Time and time again I’ve seen Karysa, Crystal, Janet, Megan, Denise, Jessica, Teance, George, Bee, Briana, and I’m sure I am missing a ton more, just always do everything they can for their residents. . I’ve also been super impressed with culinary, Molly, Lisa, Grace, T, and the rest of their department, and the variety that they offer the residents, events that they host (such as top-notch brunches), and how they are so willing to accommodate the residents. I’ve been in this field for 5 years, and I can honestly say, I’m impressed!

We chose Rock Creek Senior Living for our mother who has dementia. Best decision we made! The staff is wonderful, caring and so compassionate. Jordan at the front desk, greats you with such a wonderful smile and so welcoming and caring. He is so helpful and makes sure all your questions are answered. From the front desk, cooks, waitresses, nurses aids, everyone is amazing! My mom is so happy and she talks about the staff as family! It’s so nice to see her smiling and involved in activities again! Thank you for caring for our mom! She deserves the best and we found it!
