DO NOT SEND DEMENTIA PATIENTS HERE My grandmother has dementia and it got to the point we could no longer care for her at home. We visited here, staff came to our house to meet my grandma, and we were assured that this would be a great fit for her. After moving in, she declined very quickly. She was put into diapers, which staff did not change regularly. She got to where she was not eating, and staff did not attempt to feed her, only sat the plate in front of her. She got so dehydrated that we had to pick her up and take her to the ER ourselves. There she was given fluids and medication for a UTI (a result of not changing her diaper frequently). Once back at Ridgeland place, she was not given her UTI medication so she was in a lot of pain, to the point she would not even walk or get out of bed. See was not receiving regular showers or cleaning of her teeth. Hospice was called in to do her showers and they seem to get it done with no problem. She has had several falls, residents push her down, and bruises no one knows how she got. After several meetings with staff, we were assured all these issues would be addressed, but they never were. Before moving in, they graded her a stage 1 on whatever scale they used to asses her. Within 3 months of living at Ridgeland place she declined to a stage 4. Because of her decline and extra needs, they were wanting $2,000 extra a month, with NO NOTICE. And what extra care would be given to her??? She was not even given the correct care to begin with. There are so many things I could list, but this is just what came to mind. I DO NOT recommend sending a dementia or Alzheimers patient here under any circumstances!!!

My 86 year old father has been in Ridgeland Place for over a year and he loves it! When he compares it to the home, he left he says there is no comparison. when my father and I went to visit Ridgeland Place, I was at once struck, but it’s appearance! The Large covered porch is so Inviting ! A great place to sit And enjoy the day.. The Living room or reception area was beautiful. With an open to story view and comfortable sitting chairs with a large fireplace! But more than being just attractive, the staff and Administrators are friendly, helpful, and responsive The activities Our friendly, helpful . The activities Director works diligently to provide stimulation and entertainment. There is a van that provides transportation to and from doctor appointments And sometimes the fun outings. My father and I are glad we found Ridgeland Place!

The staff is welcoming and very friendly. The facility is well kept and the residents seem happy and very satisfied. One of the great activities is the monthly family night. The food and entertainment is wonderful, and everyone has a great time!

Staff is very helpful. We are very thankful for the care my sister receives. Thank you for helping her to be able to continue to be somewhat independent.
