I have lived at the Holiday since Oct 1st, 2021. I have a nice one bedroom apartment, with a living room and mini-kitchen with a sink and fridge. All meals are served in the dining room at 8, 12 and 5, unless I am sick. In that case meals will be delivered to my room. This happened during Covid 19 when meals were delivered every day for several weeks. I sit at a dining room table with r others, a woman and 2 men. We all agree that generally the meals are good, some are very good. Occasionally we say the meal is not great but we also agree and give the chef and cook a break. They can make a mistake, we understand. I am on the 3rd floor with a patio that looks out onto beautiful trees, some are large maples or oak trees, others are flowering cherry, I believe. I am only 1/4 mile from a YMCA. I do laps at the pool 3 times each week, and swim 45 min each time. I walk around the Holiday and do 1/4 each time. Overall, the Holiday is good value for the money. I get great support from my 3 boys and many other family members.

If I could leave zero stars I would, that is how displeased I was with this place. I live in Bethel Park so the idea of having my grandmother just a few minutes from my house was extremely appealing. To say I was let down, is an understatement. First off, I tried to make an appointment for 10:30 AM. The lady I spoke with rudely said, "We're here from 7-730 everyday." I said so does that mean I'm booking an appointment? She said yes and repeated the statement from above. I should have asked for her name, that is on me for not being able to address it with her boss when we got there. But I wasn't sure who was in regards to employees working there so I asked her if she could tell me if the prices online were accurate and she said that was information she couldn't share with me. Fast forward to the day we're supposed to have a tour, we got there and they told me I didn't have an appointment there and that I must have called the wrong place. That in fact was not the case. The gentleman who was supposed to show us around did not have time, so he had the activities director show us around. We requested to see a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom which is what my grandmother wants/needs. We were shown a 2 bed, 2 bath. When I walked into the apartment, I said, "while this is lovely and looks very nice, this is a 2 bed, 2 bath and not what my grandmother is looking for." The activities director rudely said, "no this is just a 1 bedroom." I said, "then why am I looking at 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms?" Only then did she completely look at the apartment and correct herself. Another employee yelled at me for having my vehicle parked in the wrong spot. The only problem with that is, it wasn't my vehicle and mine wasn't parked anywhere near where the car in question was parked. The vehicle in question was black and mine is white. She asked me if I had a black vehicle, I said no I do not, mine is white. She said well it needs to be moved, it's in the way. I said ma'am, I have a WHITE vehicle, not BLACK, I'm not sure who you're looking for but it certainly isn't me. She then repeated herself and told me that my vehicle needed to be moved and then she walked away. The gentleman responsible for doing tours called me later to apologize and told me, the person I spoke with to make our appointment did not pass the word along for our appointment and should not just be telling people they can come 7 days a week, from 7-730 for tours. He also informed me that they didn't have anything available that my grandmother was wanting. I said, well we won't be doing business with you but it would have been nice to know that when I initially called so I didn't waste my time. I had such high hopes for this place. The outside looks really nice but the rudeness, disorganization and the lack of education for their staff ruins this place. Apparently the woman I spoke with has told other people before that they can come at any time for a tour but this is not the case at all.

My 62 year old brother will be moving into Holiday tomorrow. Joe was so kind and helpful when we were trying to find a good fit for him. We were invited to a free meal which was delicious. Everyone was so friendly that my brother felt right at home. The studio apartment is the perfect size for him and everything in the apartment is beautiful and new. My brother is really looking forward to moving in, which really makes me happy.

If you have any concerns about this home speak to Diane Barley. She is top notch. I must say that the Corporate Office is involved in this place in real time. Customer service is excellent
