Well, it happened again. We received an invite card last week and on the card was no less than false advertising. It was some sort of Hispanic Cultural Food Day. And just like Cowboy day a couple months ago, the advertised food was not what was shown on the invite. Salad as before, some bowls or plates were full, and some were half that. Nothing consistent. And just like before, lunch was from 12-2pm and no food hit the tables until close to 1pm! It was nearly 1:15pm before our table was served and then when we we're, the other half of the dining room guests were done and leaving! If this had been any restaurant in town and had to wait and hour to be served when at my table, I would have been gone 45 minutes ago One homeless looking guy spent 25 minutes serving rolls! Seemed like a week and a half. What is this? While we were endlessly waiting, we happened to see the standard menu on the table. It sure looked better than what they were feeding us but cannot verify firsthand I'm trying to see the positive at this retirement center but it's just not there. The staff is very courteous but first impressions with the dining facility is just not there. I believe it would be far better if the meals were a self-serve buffet as you arrive instead of sitting around for an hour after opening time so all can be served at once. If the dining hours have a set time frame, then this is when food needs to start being served! Not wait an hour while rolls ae being served or for everyone to meander on in until the place is full. I don't believe I will be returning for another attempt.

Such a great experience today at the Country Western BBQ! I’ve been to two events here in the past six months and both times I was blown away. The effort and detail that is put in to these events is undeniable. We are always warmly welcomed, the home cooked food is delicious and the community is always pristine. They have the best staff and chef in town! I’ve been to others in the same area and there is no competition. I am helping a friend in her search and for me, it’s a slam dunk. Paloma Landing is the best senior living community in Albuquerque! Thanks for the warm hospitality. Great job!

My mother spent close to 6 years at Paloma Landing as she progressed along her journey with dementia. The activities are many and daily. It’s great that there are so many options with all kinds of interests. It was great to keep my mom active and engaged. The residents were wonderful. As my mom progressed she had a lot of people who checked on her, ensured she went to meals, invited her to participate in activities and gave my sister and I feedback when we’d come to visit. The food is great with multiple options and the staff frequently do special snacks and events which keeps it interesting and fresh. While managers turnover frequently (maybe 6-7 different sets during the six years), all were great, just different styles. Some are very extroverted and great event planners, others were more facility and logistically focused. Overall the facility is a great value for what is included, its location and price. We were happy our mom was able to reside there and have a great community around her before having to move to a higher level of care.

I think Paloma Landing is an excellent place to live! Although I have only lived here for 5 months, I have observed how diligent and hard management works to maintain a visible and approachable presence every single day- Management works alongside staff making it a team effort, it’s just my opinion but. it also seems evident that they strive toward continued improvement in all areas, Everyone is always cheerful and happy to help. However, one of the best features of living at Paloma Landing is their attention to cuisine. I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I said I liked everything all the time but the food here is fresh and delicious 99.9% of the time. And desserts are to die for!! You can tell it’s a good place to live just by looking around at how happy other residents are.
