My mother spent close to 6 years at Paloma Landing as she progressed along her journey with dementia. The activities are many and daily. It’s great that there are so many options with all kinds of interests. It was great to keep my mom active and engaged. The residents were wonderful. As my mom progressed she had a lot of people who checked on her, ensured she went to meals, invited her to participate in activities and gave my sister and I feedback when we’d come to visit. The food is great with multiple options and the staff frequently do special snacks and events which keeps it interesting and fresh. While managers turnover frequently (maybe 6-7 different sets during the six years), all were great, just different styles. Some are very extroverted and great event planners, others were more facility and logistically focused. Overall the facility is a great value for what is included, its location and price. We were happy our mom was able to reside there and have a great community around her before having to move to a higher level of care.

When I walked into the doors of this property, I felt the warmth and comfort of home. It’s absolutely beautiful. I was greeted by management who were so caring, loving and welcoming. All the staff there were absolutely wonderful. They made me feel right at home. The residents there were very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The food was so good. Tasted like some of the best home-cooked food that I had ever had. There were so many activities scheduled that you could pick whatever you want in your day. You can be as busy as you want. So many senior friendly activities . Looking forward to making this my permanent home.

Such a great experience today at the Country Western BBQ! I’ve been to two events here in the past six months and both times I was blown away. The effort and detail that is put in to these events is undeniable. We are always warmly welcomed, the home cooked food is delicious and the community is always pristine. They have the best staff and chef in town! I’ve been to others in the same area and there is no competition. I am helping a friend in her search and for me, it’s a slam dunk. Paloma Landing is the best senior living community in Albuquerque! Thanks for the warm hospitality. Great job!

We were invited to attend a Cowboy Luncheon today. Worst food I have ever seen. One choice was Brisket, corn and beans. Wife chose this one. I have never seen Brisket like this in my life. Dry, hard and curled like it had been cooked a week ago and reheated several times, Did not even resemble brisket. It looked like a very thin piece of "what the hell is this?" Corn and beans, just lousy. Looks like prison food you see in a movie. I had pulled pork sandwich. Not good and fatty. How can the elderly eat this mess? After the first bite, it was no longer a sandwich but looked like it fell from the ceiling and hit my plate! They dished out biscuits loaded down with green chili. Then the salads came by on a kart. As God as my witness, I could not tell if they had been picked up from the tables or being served. I passed. On the plus side, it is a nice looking and clean facility and staff seem to be pleasant. For the cost to residents here, the entire cooking staff should be fired! They should not have to eat this way. Absolutely horrible food This gave me a whole new insight to elderly care. If I ever get to a point where assisted living like this is brought up, I will just ask to take me over to Montgomery Blvd and stand me up in front of a bus. This was not a good first impression. Interesting, no response from management
