My in laws lived at Overlook Village for ten months. This is the best place in the Quad Cities area! The director Becky truly cares about the staff and the residents. The building with one and two bedroom apartments is only six years old, clean, and well maintained. Overlook is like a resort with a large variety of great tasting foods on the menu, a fun activity program, seasonal events, a hair/nail salon, and trips to programs, restaurants, etc. The care that my family received was top notch. When my father in law needed more assistance, the staff was attentive to his needs and recommended his move to the memory care unit. They also helped get hospice set up for him. Near the end, the staff also cared for our family bringing snacks, water, and food do we could stay by his side to the end. Definitely take a tour and consider making the move to this beautiful facility!

I am so thankful we went to visit Overlook Village and met many wonderful people who work there. They keep their residents busy with many activities and their chef is amazing. We feel so blessed to see our father smiling again and enjoying life. I cannot thank Becki and her staff enough for all they do for the residents and residents’ families at Overlook Village. We now have peace of mind knowing our father is in the loving and caring hands of the Overlook Village staff.

Our mother moved to Overlook Village in late February. Prior to the move, she had been in her home for over 46 years. We could not be happier at how well mom is doing at her new home. The staff has made her feel incredibly welcomed and complimented her beautiful apartment. She was able to take many decorations, pictures, etc. from her prior home. Mom has enjoyed the delicious meals too. What a wonderful place - we are so happy we found this new home for mom.

Addition: At the time Becky Hinton, Executive Director at Overlook Village, responded to me she placed a very large 5 star review of her experience at the place she works. Along with several pictures pushing the reviews down. In response to her "call me". We did call the place several times and not one person responded. I've already written a review on my experience. Unsure what can be said to us that will change our experience to this point. And her personal post tells me all we need to know. .....Original post: Our experience lacked greatly, before we were even able to learn anything about the facility. Which tells us a lot. We stopped by to see the Alzheimers unit and no one was there to talk to us or show us around. We offered to wait but was told the manager, Becky, was on a call and couldn’t meet with us that day. We left our information and never received a phone call. One of us was going to stop by again, on New Year’s Eve Day around noon. So, I called to let them know and asked if someone can show them around. We were informed that all management usually leave early on holidays and likely not able to meet with us. They double checked with the nursing manager who, at the time, was the only one left. She had already gone home. I said to the person who answered the call “well, isn’t it unusual that at least one manager isn’t on site at all times??! I mean is this normal?” The reply was “wellllll”. So, I left our name and number, again, and we have never received a call. I did have Beckys card with her cell phone and was told, through this site, that she responds to that but I didn’t hear anything back. The reason I decided to leave this review is a family friend said they stopped by then left their number and was waiting to hear back but hadn’t yet. After explaining our situation she is no longer interested. Be careful with this place. Stop by multiple times during activities, holidays, ask for management etc, etc. It does not feel trustworthy.
