Orchard Park of Kyle

To begin, I should clarify that my full name is Monica Mucchetti Eno and I am the only daughter of Emil Mucchetti, who is named as having given a one star review (below). I spoke to my Dad directly, and he informed me that he did not leave the review that is attributed to him. I am so grateful for the care our Dad received at Orchard Park of Kyle. All of the staff members have been incredibly helpful and responsive to my Dad's needs. It is clear that the Orchard Park employees truly care about the residents and want to see them thrive in their new environment. During only 5 weeks of living at Orchard Park, our Dad went from having Level 6 care needs (where he needed assistance dressing, shaving, bathing, getting in and out of bed, medications, etc...) to Level 2 care needs (needing only assistance with his medication). Dad's quick recovery speaks volumes about the support provided at Orchard Park, which is well worth the price.

Tina and Kim are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! They gave my husband and I a tour of their facility which felt very comfortable and inviting. There were specific areas for their residents to sit and interact with each other as well as a beautiful courtyard, which we were told is a favorite place for a lot of the residents.

The Memory Care unit is not the best. The evening staff is not professional, they vape freely ,and half the time they don’t get along . The food is horrible and not properly prepared and a certain cook serves horrible looking plates . Housekeeping does a half fast job . the showers need to be tore out and redone in Memory Care (& the Assisted living side.) It’s a very outdated building. New management took over. Rent goes up, with no new accommodations. The facility is very homey , but definitely needs new renovations. I would be disappointed if I had family in this Memory Care facility.

I am writing this review to raise ongoing concerns about the quality and nutritional adequacy of the food served at Orchard Park of Kyle. Vegetables are frequently burned or overcooked to the point of being inedible. Protein portions are often inadequate, and there is limited variety in protein sources from meal to meal. On several occasions, meals have also lacked appropriate consideration for dietary needs and restrictions. The staff and access to care—especially physical therapy and the on-site Nurse Practitioner—are excellent. However, without proper nutrition, the overall care system cannot effectively meet residents’ basic needs. Unfortunately, the Executive Director has not been receptive or helpful in addressing the food-related concerns raised, which is why I am posting this review in hopes of raising awareness for families considering Orchard Park as a home for their loved ones. Food quality and nutrition are fundamental components of assisted living care, not optional amenities. I hope this review encourages ownership and management to take these concerns seriously and implement meaningful improvements for residents’ health and well-being.
