Oakmont Village of Davie

I am honored to write this review on behalf of my Mom. She moved to Oakmonte in mid 2024 and recently passed away after a long and wonderful life. From the first minute she joined the community, everyone welcomed her as part of the family. My interactions with everyone were positive and supportive. While I don’t recall everyone’s name, I can certainly attest to the caring and compassion of Rene, Krystle, Madeline, David, Cora, Debbie, and Bibi. My Mom was a tough critic and she always had a smile on her face at Oakmonte. I am especially grateful and want to recognize Bibi. She was one of the first people to meet my Mom and one of the last to say goodbye. Her level of caring and compassion restores my faith in humanity. From the first moment she met her, Bibi did everything to keep her safe and comfortable. For this and for the entire Oakmonte experience my family and I are eternally grateful. With regards, Joey

The entire staff from the front door to the kitchen to the nursing, and the administration are very professional, personable, and do an amazing job of taking care of the residents. The grounds and the interior are beautiful. We are very grateful our mom is Receiving this blessing At Oakmont!

In response to owners response: You can hire aides who actually act like they want to be there instead of making residents feel like they are a nuisance if they need assistance. Not all the aides, there are a couple "gems" but if you are not lucky enough to have them assigned to you, than good luck! There are quite a few who apparently hate their job and have no business working with the elderly. Maggie is the aide to be aware of. If your loved one is assigned her, i beg you, ask for an alternate aide! Also Annette, the head nurse, has her aides' backs. So if you even attempt to bring up an issue to her, she will side with the aides. Please, be present at the facility a lot, to be aware of what's fully going on. Sure, the place is beautiful, but the care does not match the looks.

Oakmonte Village of Davie’s Independent Living community is well kept with a true 5-star look and feel. Every resident I saw appeared happy, well-dressed, and genuinely cared for. The one-on-one attention during activities, along with dignifying care and service, creates a truly upscale, top-of-the-line environment for seniors. Kamil S. at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and jovial; I found Kamil to be friendly and kind with residents throughout my visit. I also had the chance to meet Annette M., Director of Health and Wellness, who demonstrated genuine care for the residents. The community amenities including a wellness center and salon were an impressive touch. Oakmonte Village of Davie’s assisted living facility is exceptionally well kept with a true 5-star look. The lobby and community areas are beautiful. Every resident I saw looked happy, well-dressed, and genuinely cared for. The receptionist, Madeline M., was professional and welcoming. I was also impressed by the secure memory care community, where residents were engaged in activities of their choice, enjoyed appropriate independence, and were well supervised and assisted by attentive staff.
