Oakmont of The Lakes

I've called this facility to schedule a tour. I have an elderly mother, and though she doesn't need assisted living yet, I want to be prepared for that likelihood. I've scheduled tours with several facilities to see which would be the best fit should that day come. I called Oakmont of the Lakes on Monday and left a voicemail. No call back. I called again on Tuesday at 9:30AM This time I spoke to a representative who said she worked at the front desk . She checked to see if their Marketing Representative was available to speak to me. She put me on hold for a few moments, came back on the line and told me the Marketing Representative was in a director's meeting, but that this person would pass right by her desk and she would give the Marketing Representative a message to call me. No return call. I called again that day at 4:00PM only to get the voicemail again. I stated in my message the reason for my call, that I had left messages prior and this would be my last message. Today is Friday, still no return call. I don't know if this is the culture at that facility, but it certainly speaks to their lack of care as well as their disregard for families. That being said, it's not the type of facility I would place my mother for care, especially if she were in a state of vulnerability.

I have recommended Oakmont to several people and I can't believe I've never posted here. 10/10 recommend. I had my mom at two other locations before she moved in Oakmont almost two years ago, and it's been a game changer. The communication from the staff is wonderful. I'm always called with a concern and responded to when I reach out. This is a HUGE factor because other properties do not communicate well, and this is not an issue here. I couldn't be happier with the communication, staff, and care the entire team provides for my mom. The relief knowing that my mom is in good hands is worth every penny. The property is beautiful, the garden is lovely, and the food is amazing. The parties that this property holds for its residents is top notch. My mom loves salon days and it's comforting to know it's all in house. I had to coordinate a dr's appointment and it was easily done with the front desk to have her taken and picked up (certain days apply), but they were wonderful to explain the process to me, to make sure I could get it coordinated. If you have someone looking for a place to call home in their golden years, please make an appointment to learn more. You'll be glad you did! Oakmont of the Lakes Memory Care is a wonderful place for loved ones. The staff is truly exceptional, and they go above and beyond to care for each resident. They are kind, compassionate, and patient, and they take the time to get to know each resident individually. I am particularly impressed with the way that the staff at Oakmont Memory Care Facility creates a sense of community for the residents. They organize regular activities and events that are designed to engage and stimulate the residents. They also encourage the residents to socialize with each other, and they provide plenty of opportunities for them to do so. My mother was at Oakmont for several years and I know that she received the best possible care. I highly recommend Oakmont of the Lakes Memory Care to anyone looking for a place to care for their loved one with declining memories. The staff is truly exceptional, and they provide the best possible care for their residents.

I can’t say enough about this place. If you are looking for a “home”for your loved one, Oakmont is it. The Director Elizabeth is just incredible and so helpful. My family member is in the memory care side and the Director there, Melvin Tate, is absolutely fantastic. They are attentive, caring, helpful and always keep me informed. They treat him with dignity and respect. ❤️
