Oakhill Terrace is a business, and nothing else. They do not care about the resident's well being, cleanliness or care. My family member was not able to walk and the cleaning staff never mopped the floors in his bathroom or kitchen once in over a year. The room was always dirty with food all over the floor and sticky. The toilet was always filthy and the room always smelled like urine. As soon as the self pay money runs out, they will make you move out even though they say they won't. The aides are not trained well and I would find them eating my family members food and drinks in his room while he was in the dining room. I would routinely see the aides outside in their cars smoking Mary Jane and then walking inside to care for patients. Also, be aware that if your loved one cannot bathe themselves, this facility is only required by law to give one shower per week and that is all they will ever get! We begged for 2 showers a week when we were paying over $8,000 per month rent and they would say they would do it, but never did. Just sad that our loved one had to live the way he did while he was there. Avoid this place if you can. Go to a smaller facility where you'll get better care.

I had my community clinical at Oak Hill. It was very clean and tidy. All the residents and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The residents seemed to enjoy living here and had lots of activities to participate in. They provided great care to the residents and I would totally recommend it.

The cleanliness at Oak Hill Terrace was awful. My mother had an incontinence issue as so many elderly people do. Especially those with dementia. And she did not know how to clean it up. Often I would visit and find dried feces all over her toilet and surrounding the back of her toilet. Getting someone to help me clean it was near impossible. I would wash her filthy floors. They never dusted and her windows and windowsills were filthy. The leasing agent told me that absolutely we could request that she have no onions in her food. She reacted terribly to onions her entire life. There were never any adjustments made for onions. I often found them in her food and that contributed to her fecal incontinence. I would not recommend Oak Hill Terrace to anyone.

Volunteered here for a few months. The staff are very kind and compassionate and genuinly care about their community members. They have many activity programs and residents are very welcoming to new community members!
