Northgate Plaza

I moved my mother-in-law into Northgate Plaza back in August, and as someone living out of the country, having her here has truly given me peace of mind knowing she is safe and well cared for. Since moving to Northgate Plaza , she has made many new friends and is absolutely thriving. It has been such a comfort to see her so happy and engaged. I'm especially grateful for the support Michelle has given our family. Nicole made us feel welcomed from the moment we first walked in, which meant so much. Lisa and Denise always greet me with friendly smiles, and it's clear that every team member genuinely cares. All of the staff at Northgate Plaza are amazing, and I couldn't be more thankful for the environment they've created.

Mom recently had to move to assisted living and Northgate Plaza has proven to be better than expected in every way. All staff - administration, dining room servers, nursing staff, activities directors, housekeepers, care givers…everyone(!) - are kind, helpful, and warm. Mom spent a few months in a very large, expensive, and supposedly top-of-the-line assisted living/rehab facility. After the glitzy first impressions wore off, it revealed itself to be a place with deep foundational cracks (and possible medical negligence). In contrast, Northgate Plaza is on the smaller side - an older structure that has been modernized here and there. But what is most apparent is that NG Plaza has prioritized and put its resources behind finding the best people. Everyone is warm, friendly, interested, and appears proud of their work. I have spent time staying with mom in her apartment to get her settled, and without exception everyone on staff meets this standard. There are great human beings with good hearts working here. And I think it’s noteworthy to add that after spending time eating and socializing with mom’s new friends, residents here are happy. This place is absolutely a community, and it shows in how everyone(!) knows each other and interacts with each other. What a great place!

I moved my Dad here in November of 2025. He was very reluctant to leave his home, so the wonderful team at Northgate Plaza invited him to their special Veterans Day luncheon, which was the perfect way for him to experience the facility. The move-in process was excellent, and my kids and I always feel welcome when we are there. There is a very good energy about the place - people are out and about, which I appreciate. He loves the food, and all the staff I've met are very kind. He is finally getting nutritious meals, social interactions, and the careful medication management he was unable to sustain at home. He's not exactly jumping at every activity, but he has made a few friends and seems to know a lot of people when I visit him for meals. Safety was another big factor in the decision to move him, and I appreciate the monitors the residents wear. I am grateful that staff keep tabs on him!

I moved in to Northgate Plaza in the middle of January, on the advice of a longtime-friend-- and I'm very glad I took that advice. After living in my home for 60 years, I was becoming more isolated, especially as it became harder to get out and do things. My son lives in an adult family home. So this move felt like an important step, and I'm truly happy I made it. Since moving here, I've made new friends and really enjoy the variety of activities offered. Especially the live music.There are also games and card activities that make it easy to stay engaged and social. The food is outstanding, nutritious, well balanced, and always delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff are consistently helpful , polite and personable , which makes a big difference day to day. It is also comforting to know that if I need more care in the future it will be readily available. I'm enjoying getting to know people, sharing stories and building new friendships. Everyone I've met here has been friendly, interesting, and the pleasure to spend time with.
