Since moving my mom here, everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly. She mentioned that she feels at home because of the wonderful staff. Kim, Emily, Sarah and Amy have all reached out to be sure they have done everything possible to make my mom feel welcome and that is very comforting to me.

There are better places out there for the money….stay away if your loved one has dementia. Northgate went bad after a 10% increase in cost, lack of proper care for dementia(aides were not escorting my Mom to/from meals and activities), activities and residents not welcoming/accommodating for people with dementia, my friends complaining that the staff were not friendly when they came to visit, routine feces smell in the hallway, theft of my Mom’s keys, sweater, and coat, and a push to have my Mom leave and go to a Memory Care facility. She is now at a better place, in Assisted Living versus Memory Care, THRIVING! The staff and residents are all friendly and supportive of her dementia. She is active in all the activities. She is playing the same games that Northgate Park said she could not manage! She is welcome to attend offsite activities. She just needed to be somewhere with more skill, patience and care for dementia. My mom and I get hugs from the staff in her new place… Feels so good to be wanted. Oh yeah…. The cost of this new place is the same and does not go up 5-10% year. Nicer facility and better care. Hallelujah!

We have been very happy with the decision of making Northgate Park my Aunts new home. Although at times she thought she was just there for rehab and would be going back to her condo. We can’t thank Emily enough for all her visits and encouraging my Aunt to participate in all the activities. She plays Bingo, goes on the scenic bus rides and enjoys the lunch trips out to various restaurants around town. Having people to share her meals with has helped immensely with her actually eating and building up her strength. The dining room staff are fantastic and take time to get to know everyone. A couple of times she has not felt well and the nurse has been very attentive. Kim has been fantastic. My Aunt actually looks forward to her rides to appointments and conversing with Kim on the way to and from. And a big thank you to Vicki at the front for making all the doctors appointments and transportation. She definitely has a real connection with her aides. They are very attentive and helpful but more than that they seem to enjoy being there and have a genuine concern and connection with her. I can’t leave out Casey for help with the TV and cable set up, hanging some items and fixing a drawer. He is very prompt on addressing any issues. These are just a few of the people we have connected with these past few months but everyone there is very friendly and helpful and she loves the fact they address her by name. She now considers Northgate Park to be her home by her choice and not ours. Thank you to all of the employees at Northgate Park.

Recently moved my mom to Northgate Park (4wks ago). Kim and Emily have been very helpful in getting my mom adjusted to her new home. My mom now attends the rosary in the chapel every morning and goes to the social events like bingo and ice cream. They offer so many great activities that get the residents out of their apartment, like scenic bus rides and shopping trips to Walmart and Kroger. All of the aides and nurses have been very friendly and attentive as well. All residents have a life alert necklace and when my mom has needed to press it, the aides are very quick to respond. I have security cameras in my moms apartment because she is a fall risk and she doesn’t always answer my phone calls when I check on her and it has been very comforting to be able to check on my mom 24/7. They are also pet friendly, have washers and dryers at the end of each hall, and an outdoor walking trail. Highly recommend Northgate Park for assisted living. ☺️
