Mustang Creek Estates Burleson

If you’re still bitter about your childhood, this may feel like the place for your Mom or Dad. For those of us who actually expected a basic standard of care, our experience with Mustang Creek Estates was deeply troubling. A few “highlights” from our time there: We made staff and management aware from day one that my FIL had Celiac disease, and we were explicitly assured they could provide gluten-free meals. Despite those assurances, he was repeatedly given food containing gluten. We personally witnessed this more than once, which made it clear his dietary restrictions were not being reliably followed. We escalated these concerns to the Director and management multiple times. Although we were assured they would be handled, the problems persisted without meaningful resolution. Cleanliness was an ongoing issue. During our visits, we frequently noticed a strong urine odor throughout the building, and his room was not maintained to a reasonable standard (including visible cobwebs and lack of regular attention). He experienced a fall that was never clearly reported to the family, despite visible bruising later observed by both us and an outside party. We encountered very serious concerns around medication handling, specifically involving his prescribed fentanyl patches, and were unable to get clear or consistent answers about what occurred. Dealing with management only added to the frustration. Concerns were routinely minimized or met with assurances that things would improve, but those assurances did not translate into meaningful or lasting changes. If you’re still angry at your parents, this might feel like an option. If you care even the tiniest bit about them, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere and asking very direct questions before trusting this facility with their care.

Our experience with Mustang Creek has been absolutely wonderful. Lynette has been amazing and so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She supported us every step of the way and was always very communicative, which made such a difference during a big transition. Her reassurance and kindness truly helped make this experience smooth and positive for our family. Makayla, the Activities Director, is also fantastic. She is so thoughtful and genuinely cares about the residents. The opportunities and experiences she provides are incredible and really help create a vibrant, engaging environment for everyone there. The team at Mustang Creek clearly cares deeply about the people they serve, and it shows in everything they do. We are so grateful for the support, compassion, and dedication they provide every day.

Our mother has been at Mustang Creek in Burleson for 2 years now and I have to say it was the best decision we made for our mother. I really like the smaller resident count per home, it is easier for mom to remember everyone’s name. She really enjoys playing games & craft time. She truly enjoys going on the outings. You get to know the staff & they get to know you. MCE takes care of her meds, laundry & room cleaning. I recommend Mustang Creek to other families that are in the same situation with their parents.

B house is the most efficient and friendliest facility I have ever visited. I have been to several to see for my wife and everyone there have befriended my wife and made her feel at home. “She has not even asked me to take her home”!!! I can only hope and pray the rest of Mustang Creek is run this well. Thank you and God Bless your crew.
