This has been a bit of an overdue review. My father fell ill with dementia in 2022 and to make a long story short, we found Morrow Heights, and they had a room open for my dad to be in their care. This was not an easy decision to make as if was living 7 hours away, but when I toured the facility and met with several staff, I felt at ease. Now, my dad was in their care for a little over two years and I can say the staff here were nothing but amazing. I would come up to visit with him once a month and they treated me as if I belonged there too. I always felt very comfortable visiting. My dad's illness progressed fairly quickly in the two years he was here and I was always in the know about any little instance or behavior change he had. Laura is the nurse on staff here, and she is truly an advocate for her community. My dad eventually had an additional hospice care help teams that worked with Morrow Heights, and any decision that hospice had or any concern was always followed up with Laura, Pam (the director) and other staff members here at Morrow Heights. I don't want to single out any staff members because everyone was so amazing and I also don't want to leave anyone out, but I know if they read this they will know who they are! I'm not sure if they realize how appreciative and greatful I am for the wonderful treatment they gave my sweet dad in his last two years of life. Whatever guilt I had about making the decision to place my dad in an assisted living home was taken away after experiencing the tight knit community feel here. If anyone has ever experienced dementia they know how hard it can be to get your loved one to eat properly and in my dad's case he got fussy. I would bring in boxes of Oatmeal cream pies and root beer to stash away with Morrow and the staff knew they could always treat my dad with both to get him to eat or take medication too. This is just an example of a small detail that meant a lot to me. They truly knew my dad and got to learn his mannerisms. Ok now for something a little lighter; as far as the rest of the facility, they constantly had little events and activities going on and even outings for the residents too. My dad didn't participate much, but I thought it was great nonetheless. The food menu was always in constant rotation and was pretty good too, they would always offer me a plate if I showed up during any meal time which was very thoughtful of them. Overall, the facility is nice, welcoming and had a positive vibe all the time. To each of the lovely staff members, thank you so much! I will always remember you all and the loving care you provided for my dad, Barry. With much love, Jenny

I would like to share my opinion and experience with Morrow Heights Assisted living center. My dad, lived at Morrow Heights for approximately 6 - 7 years. The management has changed in the time frame that my dad lived there, and in my personal opinion, has changed for the better of the facility, the staff and most important, the residents. I love my dad and wanted him to be in a safe and friendly, loving environment and treated right. A place where I wouldn't be constantly concerned that his needs were not being taken care of and not having to worry that he was being mistreated or neglected and that his needs were met without judgment. I needed this reassurance especially since I lived quite a distance away from him. I can tell you this, my dad was happy, he felt safe and loved like a family member by the staff at Morrow Heights. He told me several times the folks at Morrow Heights were fantastic and made him feel like he was part of their family. The Director Pam, is a fantastic person, she runs a very tight ship and has such a fantastic crew working at Morrow Heights. In my opinion, she is the right person in the right position ensuring that Morrow Heights is operating far above the standard expectations of families that have a loved one residing at this Assisted living facility. I was kept in the loop with all things regarding my dad. I felt reassured that he was definitely well taken care of especially when my dad himself would tell me that very statement. If there was a medical issue, or a medical appointment, I was notified. I was notified if he was having a rough day and even if he was having a fantastic day. I always felt like I was there because I was kept in the loop with what was going on with my dad. My dad recently passed away, I was immediately notified and was on my way to Oregon. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Pam and several of the staff members. All of them giving me their condolences. They each told me how sorry they were and that they loved my dad and that he would be deeply missed. Pam and the staff had a beautiful memorial set up in the main entrance of Morrow Heights for my Dad. It made dealing with the loss of my dad very personal and I want to thank each and every one of them for the love, safety and concern that they expressed regarding my dad. I would definitely recommend Morrow Heights Assisted living to the people that have an aging parent and are looking for a home away from home for them. Thank you, Pam and the entire staff for loving and taking care of my dad. Brian Weston

I was very hesitant to have a family member be in assisted living due to past experiences with other centers. I can honestly say that I have been more than impressed with every aspect of Morrow Heights. The cleanliness of the whole center, the professional and caring staff to include the best cooked meals. I commend all of the staff who under the leadership of the executive director are doing the very best for our loved ones. From the time my family member entered Morrow Heights to the changing of the current director a few years ago there has been 100% improvement in all aspects. My loved one has since passed away and ALL of the staff made the transition so much easier with their caring and professional help. I would highly recommend this quiet and peaceful place for peace of mind of your loved ones.
