This is a wonderful place, and you can really see the care and effort that goes into everything they do. I’ve had the chance to visit this community a few times, and I’ve been very impressed each time. The building is always clean and well taken care of, which makes it feel warm and welcoming. Plus, the food here is excellent. I even got to meet the chef, and he’s great at what he does. I toured the facility with Luis Rivas, he was there every step of the way. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and making the whole visit easy to follow. When we toured the memory care unit, I was touched by how patient, caring, and skilled the team is with the residents. I also really liked seeing how they plan daily activities for the residents. It shows they put in the effort to keep everyone engaged and active.

After reading the most recent review posted by a former employee, I feel the need to speak up as well. My sister was a caregiver in the "Reflections" floor (memory care). During her time there she consistently complained about there being short to no available staff, residents with high care needs, and not enough food on several occasions. Families are paying for care they are not even receiving. One day I was there to pick up my sister and the daughter of a family member who lived there told me that her mom was locked in her room for hours with nobody checking on her and she had no food nor water.....she has Diabetes!!! I planned to keep this to myself but I have to concur that this is a dangerous place that hides behind an alleged faith-based model. My sister now works for another Senior Living place and is happy and less stressed. I would not put anyone I loved in this place. At least not Memory Care, I do not know how those without memory issues are cared for so in fairness, I cannot speak to this.

We had a wonderful experience with MorningStar Assisted Living. Luis and Isela were kind, attentive, and very supportive throughout the process — they answered all of our questions thoroughly and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. They were incredibly patient with our uncle and went above and beyond to make him feel welcome and cared for. We are very grateful for their professionalism and compassion, and highly recommend MorningStar to families looking for a warm and supportive environment for their loved ones.

Extremely Disappointing Visit – Not What I Expected at All I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience because I relied on the glowing reviews here—and unfortunately, my visit to MorningStar Senior Living was the complete opposite. I scheduled an appointment over the phone for a Monday afternoon and was told I’d be meeting with Ling, the sales manager. From the very beginning, the experience was disorganized and frankly, disappointing. Parking was a nightmare. I was told I could park in front, but no spaces were available. The layout was confusing, and in the process of trying to park, I ended up scratching my car. No signage, no guidance, and definitely no help. When I finally made it to the front desk, I was met with an unwelcoming and rude receptionist who seemed surprised I had an appointment. I was interrogated rather than greeted, which set a very negative tone. As I moved through the building, I noticed something that really bothered me: the staff seemed indifferent. No one smiled, greeted me, or offered help. One staff member even blocked me with their back in the elevator—no apology, just complete disregard. After waiting about 30 minutes, Ling finally arrived and apologized, explaining she had car trouble. While I understand that things happen, I was shocked at how hard it was to communicate with her. Her English was difficult to understand, and I felt extremely uncomfortable asking questions because I couldn't follow her responses. At one point, she had a five-minute conversation in what I believe was Mandarin with another staff member, during our tour—laughing and leaving me standing there, completely excluded. It felt disrespectful and awkward. When I asked for pricing, she shared the cost of a one-bedroom and studio, but instead of focusing on my mother’s needs or even trying to understand our situation, she vaguely implied that they didn’t need more business and that if I wanted a spot, I’d better act fast. The lack of empathy and professionalism was disheartening. To be clear, the building itself is beautiful—it has that “resort” appearance. But the people working there? They lacked warmth, etiquette, and the basic courtesy one would expect at a senior living community. This isn’t just about appearances—it’s about trust and feeling confident that your loved one will be treated with respect and care. I feel misled by the reviews I read before visiting. I truly hope this helps others who want an honest perspective. Please don’t be fooled by the polished image—what I experienced was anything but welcoming or professional. — A genuinely disappointed visitor
