I had been around Charlotte looking tor a place for my sister for a few weeks before I came to Merrywood. My daughter and I looked at each other and said wow the minute we walked in. Rebecca was so welcoming and the rest of the staff reinforced our view. My sister loved it!!! She was assigned an Ambassador to help her assimilate and within days everyone knew her name. More than enough activities to entertain her and a warm ambiance. Congratulations to the whole staff for creating a wonderful new home for my sister. Thank you!

The staff was excellent - very welcoming. Rebecca took the time to listen to me, and ask questions about my mother's situation and needs, as well as show me the available units....she was very professional and she knew the names of the residents as they passed by! I would highly recommend MerryWood to anyone.

Merrywood is a happy place. I knew it from the moment I walked in and met Rebecca Humphrey. As we walked the grounds, it was clear she knew who residents really were and cared about them. She explained the process of helping my mom find the right home and prepared me for the journey in ways others didn't. I have a true partner and confidant so I know what to expect, which has meant everything.

MerryWood on Park Road has been such a blessing to our entire family! We helped our mother move just a month ago and everyone of us are happy with her new ‘home’! The residents are so kind and welcoming, offering daily support during a big change! The staff encourage her and go beyond the call of duty to help in all areas of daily life… rides to church, to appointments, the occasional apartment need, etc. The weekly special outings are a huge highlight and help. The daily activities and social events encourage wonderful camaraderie and a sense of belonging. The buildings and grounds are lovely and create a wonderful safe venue to go for walks and meet new friends. I personally appreciate the concept of a dining concierge who seats residents at mealtime to encourage an inclusive welcoming experience, especially for newcomers! We are so grateful for Rebecca and the entire team at MerryWood who have made independent living at MerryWood a lovely experience for all who live there!
