Both my parents resided in this community for a number of years and it was perfect for them. They had lots of friends and activities, they even got my mom to visit in Alpaca Farm. The staff is friendly, supportive and available. They provided my mom so much support when my dad was sick and finally passed away. My mom continued to reside in this community after my dad died and it was a blessing to her. Both are now gone but their lives were so much more enriched by being at Merrill Gardens. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a place for their parents. Thank you to the staff for all their support.

We recently toured Merrill Gardens for a family member who had a quick change in condition. Thankfully, Alyssa was able to schedule us almost immediately. She was a wealth of knowledge and really soothed my family’s fears about transitioning a loved one into Personal Care. Her tour was professional and fun. She kept things light hearted and exciting for my family member (who was very nervous). On top of a very pleasant tour, the other staff seemed friendly. My family member loved that it’s next to an active airstrip, and clean!

Beware folks. The tour you receive is wonderful but after you move in most things mentioned are not what they seem. Most employees are not friendly and helpful. The dining/kitchen staff turn over frequently so the food and service are not consistent. Amenities are discontinued but prices go up 10% each year. Rooms are not cleaned weekly and need a refresh. Laundry returns clothes wrinkled, shrunk and folded in your sheets. Staff is also inconsistent regarding questions on outside services and internal practices. Our family would not recommend.

I took my mom on a tour of Merrill Gardens the other day. What a fantastic facility full of friendly staff and residents! Alyssa Dolan was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and pleasant helping to relieve any anxiety my mom was having about the visit. I was very impressed with the amenities such as a movie theater, diner, pub, library, garden patio, to name a few. Each area was beautiful, bright, and clean. My mom met many residents while touring and they were all welcoming and complimentary of their experiences at Merrill. I can’t say anything but good things and look forward to getting to spend more time in the future when Mom joins the community.
