Skilled Nursing

The moment you drive through the community gates and see the Incredibly beautiful landscaping, you feel At Home. Everyone I met greeted me with a genuine smile and treated me like I was a family member returning home, despite the fact that I had never visited the campus before. My tour was led by JP Thornton, Transition Specialist, and I couldn’t ask for a friendlier, more knowledgeable guide. I can’t say enough about my wonderful morning at Marsh’s Edge!

My husband and I and feel this is a very special place. Not only is it in a beautiful setting, with spacious apartments, but we are fortunate to have a dedicated staff who work hard to handle the needs of the residents, not an easy task. Activities are many and varied, designed to keep us in shape physically and mentally with enough fun to keep us laughing. The common areas, including the dining room are lovely. The chefs do a good job of preparing meals with multiple food choices that satisfy most palates. We have made many new friends here and are amazed at the number of residents from faraway places who chose to make this their retirement home after looking at places up and down the eastern seaboard. The main reason, most say, is they liked the sense of community they felt here. We certainly agree with that.

My husband and I moved to Marshs-Edge fifteen years ago. We watched every piece of this facility from the first building that went up. We dreamed that we would some day live here. Our dreams did come through but unfortunately, we waited too long and he passed away after 4 years. We were able to spend his last 4 years in this beautiful place. I can't say enough about this wonderful place before and after his death. The food is excellent, the activities are great. We loved the dinner dances, the entertainment in our beautiful bar and topnotch dining facilities. During my husband illness and up until his death, there is no way to describe the loving care and excellent Nursing care he received in our medical center called The Retreat. Finally, I must encourage every one, DO NOT WAIT. Come while you are able to enjoy this fun loving place with its outstanding staff.

My parents have been residents of Marsh's Edge for three years now and they are so happy. New friends, daily activities, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and a sense of community are just some of there reasons they wished they'd moved there sooner. Saint Simons Island, GA is a beautiful location with pleasant climate year round and the Golden Isles is the perfect place to spend your golden years!
