The Lakeside at Amelia

I cannot thank the Lakeside staff enough for making my grandmother’s transition into assisted living so smooth. The sales process with Lisa was straightforward, transparent, and completely free of the high-pressure tactics you sometimes worry about. They were incredibly organized, communicative, and accommodating to our family's schedule. Patty made the move seamless from the rehab facility into Lakeside. I highly recommend this facility for their professionalism and excellent customer service.

Our Dad was a resident of The Lakeside at Amelia Island for the past 7 years, relocating from Sarasota, FL which had been his home for 25 years. He was one of the initial residents of the community when it opened in January 2019. He began his residence in an independent living apartment and transitioned to assisted living in April 2025. Shortly thereafter, following a stroke, he transferred to Lakeside memory care until his passing last month at 94 years of age. Each move was seamless and Dad enjoyed years of extended independence due to the support and services provided through Lakeside's various residential options. The attention, camaraderie, and care shown by all Lakeside staff (and residents) made Lakeside home for him. We can’t say enough good things about everyone – administrators, direct care staff (nursing/CNA), and direct service people (dining, housekeeping, engagement, wellness, concierge/transportation). Also, a shout-out for the “behind-the-scenes” folks and their staffs – (Maintenance Director, Justin Sloper; Sales Director, Jen Riesenberger; and Business Office Director, Nora Bequette) – always willingly and promptly assisting (with a smile) whenever needed. I've been at the Lakeside community for a year and have nothing but amazing things to say. The moment I came I knew this place was my second home. The engagement team in assist living is very supportive and hands on. They are always reminding of upcoming activities and events. Tonya and Brittany from engagement is always keeping the residents active and always so friendly to the residents. I also want to say that the care staff here is so supportive and attentive to my needs. I feel safe and heard here. Thank you lakeside for everything. You all are amazing.

My parents have truly enjoyed lived in the independent living community at Lakeside @ Amelia for 6 years. The entire team treats every resident like family - management, dining, front desk, PT and the many folks involved in coordinating activities to ensure residents stay active and engaged. I am especially grateful for the kindness and compassion when Dad experienced challenges with his health. The team went above and beyond checking in with Mom on a regular basis to insure she had the additional support she needed. The warmth and compassion everyone displayed was truly genuine and heartwarming. I wholeheartedly recommend Lakeside to any family seeking a safe, supportive, and caring environment for their loved one. We are moving Mom to be closer to family. I hope we can duplicate the staff and living experience my parents enjoyed at Lakeside. The bar is definitely a high one.
