In my 4+ years of residing at the Manor at Oakridge, I have been contented and happy with my life situation. Coming here was the right decision. The staff is mostly kind and respectful to the residents; the food is quite good; and we have many opportunities for activities and entertainment.

I work at a local non-profit and The Manor hosted our organization for a one day presentation and service project. Beth was great to work with and the residents were wonderful! I look forward to visiting The Manor again in the future.

Despite some recent staffing problems,, this has been a good place to live:--decent food,, pleasant neighbors,, fun activities, transportation. But don't expect much empathy if you're having problems. I decided a couple months ago that it was not financially sustainable to stay here, so i started looking a subsidized senior living I told the management at the Manor that I would not bre payingmr a couple months so I could save enough fir the security deposit and first month rent at the new location plus the movers fee. I asked if it would be acceptable to set up a monthly payment plan after I left. I would have been able to afford ti do so since the move would result in a $1300 a month savings. The management agreed to such an arrangement and indicated they would draw up the payment plan. Yesterday I received a summons from the local district Justice. I immediately approached the management and was told this was standard procedure. Recently, the Manor has been dealing with staffing issues. As a result, many, if no most, residents have had no housekeeping or linen services, for which our contract specifies. When approached about the lack of services,,, we were asked to be patient and understanding. Most of the residents obliged and suffered in silence. However, when the shoe is on the other foot, patience and understanding are out the window. Again this is a good place to l8ve, but don't expect much empathy if you have problems. I might be tempted to think this was an isolated instance,, but I know of others who similarly suffered here.

I have lived here for 8 years. I really enjoy the facility along with the activities they put on every day. I recommend to anybody who needs a wonderful place to live to find themselves here at the Manor.
