My parents moved into Julian in 2023. The atmosphere is welcoming with many activities and opportunities for socializing. From the well stocked library with fireplace to the movie theatre- the amenities are many. We have held family holiday gatherings in the community kitchen area making the transition from their family home a bit easier. My dad has since passed and Julian is still providing a place where my mom feels comfortable and safe.

"This is the most beautiful retirement home I've ever seen. Visiting was an amazing experience. The staff are top-notch – incredibly friendly and welcoming. The dining room rivals a 5-star restaurant, and the entire property is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The residents clearly look very happy and well-cared for. A special shout-out to Rhea for being so accommodating and making us feel genuinely welcome!"

I was a guest for their Thanksgiving lunch. Everything tasted amazing, well-rounded portions. The ham and turkey were cooked perfectly. Great drink selection, with coffee/tea and cookies to snack on if you wanted to before the meal. The service was outstanding, they got the food out to everyone in a timely and organized manner, keeping the food nice and hot when it was served. What a wonderful way to spend a Thanksgiving meal with family and meeting new friends.

The staff at Julian Estates did not just meet the standard of care; they established a new one. Right from the start: while touring the grounds, we were approached by multiple residents who recommended the property in the highest terms. Of the many properties we toured, that right there was unique. The settling-in process was efficient and the managers considered it standard that they would find special ways to be good friends with the residents. Activities were frequent and well-attended. The grounds themselves are attractive and well-maintained. In the end, my mother's needs made a higher level of care necessary. During this distressing time, the staff found ways to go above and beyond their duties, making extra efforts and sacrifices on a personal level beyond what anyone would expect. It's a sad rarity that so many people in this industry are in it for profit rather than for love of helping others. Julian Estates renewed my faith that a place like this not only can, but does exist. I would give them more than five stars if that were possible. I can't think of any rational person being unhappy as a resident here.
