This place has been such a pleasant assisted living dating back to the original owner. The staff has always been helpful, loving and respectful. Our family has used morning star twice with separate family member/friends and with great service. As with anything, people change and times advance. However management has always been steady up until recently. Whoever the new middle eastern or Indian boss, director or whatever her title is, that doesn’t seem to care about being professional, polite or respectful has issues!!!!. We have never had any issues with any caregivers or staff EVER and I mean EVER. They have always been great. This new lady is disrespectful, belittling, and very condescending. We were almost ready to remove our loved ones from the facility and go across the street even though it’s cost more money. She doesn’t know how to talk to residents, family, and even her staff. It is starting to feel like the residents are just numbers and the comfort, loving, and family like atmosphere he’s quickly fading…and I mean quickly. We will definitely be monitoring this situation and I would advise anyone who has family here to talk with your loved ones and ask them because more than a handful of other residents has already come to our loved ones about similar feelings regarding this new lady. This is no way a “morning star” review as much as it is a review about this new director that clearly has a some communication, professional and respect issues. You’ve been warned!

My father was very, very reluctant to leave his home and enter assisted living, even though it was clear to everyone else that the time had come. The staff at MorningStar—especially Susan and Rosana—made him (and me) feel welcome and at home from the moment we walked in. Susan really listened to him, answered all of his questions, and treated us both with compassion and respect. She has also been very responsive to my follow-up calls and emails. Ultimately my dad made the decision to move here and I believe he will be very well taken care of. As a bonus, MorningStar was both nicer than and a little less expensive than the other communities we visited.

My name is Roy Brown, today, January 25, 2023, my wife, Janice, and I, did a tour of Morning Star Senior Living facility. The place is located at 1200 Russell Way in Hayward California. We were there because we are looking for an "Assisted Living" for facility for my Father in law. We were greeted very warmly by a Morning Star employee by the name of Susan Hughes. She showed us the property and all of the beautiful modern amenities that are associated with Morning Star. I felt nothing but love and respect from Susan Hughes. Susan was very professional, and personable all at the same time. I did not feel rushed by Susan to get us in and out, she took the time to adequately answer any and all of our questions. She made me feel like I was part of her real life family, while discussing our options for placement of my Father in law. In short, Susan Hughes does an incredible job of representing Morning Star. As a matter of fact, Susan was so good, that now, my wife and I are considering moving there ourselves, ha ha, no joke. In closing, I have visited many Senior Living facilities, and hands down, Morning Star is the best one I have ever seen! Not only is it beautiful from the outside, it is very beautiful and extremely modern on the inside. It is so modern and nice, I thought I was at a five star resort. OK, that's all for now, and no, they did not pay me to make this post. Have a great day to everyone who reads this comment by me.

The staff knows how to take care of their clients. Patients are never left unattended and caters to the needs of all patients as much as possible. Very friendly staff members too and know what team work is all about. As a hospice nurse, I usually go to other facilities but the staff in the other facilities mostly are arrogant and think they know more than other clinicians outside those facilities. All staff members that I've spoken to in this facility (Casa Sandoval) are down to Earth and humble. They do not compete just because a clinician is not part of their facility staff. They work with the clinicians and that is how it should always be in every facility. So thank you Casa Sandoval. Please keep up the good work.
