Bellara Senior Living is a beautiful community in the heart of Hayward. I visited yesterday and was immediately greeted my friendly staff. Activity Director, Charles gave us a tour. We saw the Assisted Living side as well as the Memory Care side. Charles was knowledgeable and took pride in where he works. During the tour, we encountered several resident who expressed how much they’ve enjoyed living there. It certainly feels like a great senior living community! I would highly recommend it for any families in need!

Bellara Senior Living in Hayward has truly been a godsend for our family, especially for my beloved grandmother. From the moment she arrived, starting in Assisted Living and later transitioning to the warm and nurturing Generations memory care wing as her dementia advanced, we’ve witnessed the staff’s unwavering dedication and genuine love for their residents. It’s evident in every detail—from the exquisite five-star restaurant to the thoughtfully curated activities like live music, dance parties, happy hours, and a lively activity room with a poker table and tons of options, plus the family room-style hangouts peppered throughout the facility. These grand spaces, with their comfy chairs, cozy fireplaces, coffee tables, and all the works, offer endless options for residents to gather, enjoy quiet solidarity, or simply hang out with the wonderful new friends she’s made. Everyone is so warm and welcoming— it honestly feels like a luxurious cruise ship where every day is an adventure, and everyone’s excited to meet and connect with each other. Grandma thrives in this joyful atmosphere. After my grandfather passed, Grandma longed to be closer to family. Leaving behind a big, empty house for Bellara was a big step, but it’s brought her so much joy and comfort. Her apartment that she likes to refer to as her condo, is nothing short of spectacular—a spacious, beautifully designed space with a grand kitchen, laundry room, bedroom, walk-in closet, and stunning views that make it feel like a luxurious home. Whether it’s a cozy studio, a one-bedroom, or a two-bedroom, these living spaces are a perfect fit for this thriving community. The whole place offers everything she could need—a beauty salon, barber shop for the guys, gym, and a stunning outdoor space with cozy seating, lush lawns, vibrant gardens, and barbecue areas that make every day feel special. It’s given her a renewed sense of peace, freedom, and companionship around the clock. Bellara isn’t just a place to live—it’s a vibrant, loving home where she’s surrounded by friends and exceptional care. For anyone seeking the perfect place for an independent senior or someone needing a little extra support, Bellara is hands-down the #1 choice. We couldn’t recommend it more highly—it’s been a blessing beyond words for our family.

I wanted to share some positive feedback about my experience with Bellara. I moved my 90-year-old brother into their memory care wing on the very first day they opened (November 2, 2023). He had previously been in a larger facility in San Francisco and then a small group house before transitioning to Bellara. I'm happy to report that his experience at Bellara has been wonderful over the past 2 1/2 months. He has been thriving with all the daily activities which the staff makes it fun for the residents. The amenities are excellent, with a coffee bar during the day and a wine and beer bar (to be open soon) in the evenings. I was particularly impressed with the movie theater and the overall quality of the facilities. While most other assisted living facilities offer similar services, I believe it's the people at Bellara who truly make it stand out. All staff members are both warm and caring, and I've been impressed with everyone from management to the chef (the food is great!) and all the care staff. I would give a shout out to individuals but I then have to name everyone we encountered. Overall, I'm very pleased with my brother's experience at Bellara and would highly recommend it.
