Ivy Park at Hayward is a beautiful community in a perfect location. The environment feels warm, welcoming, and well cared for. I’ve been especially impressed with Michelle Stashyn, the Marketing Director — her professionalism and dedication truly stand out. She always goes above and beyond to assist clients, even offering late evening tours when needed. The team at Ivy Park is also wonderful — they respond to calls promptly and answer all my clients’ questions with great patience and care. It’s clear they truly value the families they work with. Highly recommend!

Met Joseph Villanueva, Executive Director, recently to learn more about the facility. While waiting for him I had the opportunity to observe the staff at work and look around a bit. I am a big believer in customer service and I have a high bar for rating but I have to admit that I was VERY impressed with the attention the staff was paying to the residents (without knowing they were being watched). Joseph comes across as very honest and earnest in his belief that taking care of his residents is the most important thing and he spends a lot of time training his staff to practice what he preaches. And did I mention the facility looks like a high end resort??? I was SO impressed that I am seriously considering this place for my 87 y/o mom who is very picky!

Henryetta was extremely helpful with getting my mom moved in quickly. We needed to move my mom in ASAP which is difficult because the move in process can take a while. She was even willing to drive to Walnut Creek and back so my mom could sign paperwork that was required to move in. My family and I are very grateful for her and Ivy Park.

This place has been such a pleasant assisted living dating back to the original owner. The staff has always been helpful, loving and respectful. Our family has used morning star twice with separate family member/friends and with great service. As with anything, people change and times advance. However management has always been steady up until recently. Whoever the new middle eastern or Indian boss, director or whatever her title is, that doesn’t seem to care about being professional, polite or respectful has issues!!!!. We have never had any issues with any caregivers or staff EVER and I mean EVER. They have always been great. This new lady is disrespectful, belittling, and very condescending. We were almost ready to remove our loved ones from the facility and go across the street even though it’s cost more money. She doesn’t know how to talk to residents, family, and even her staff. It is starting to feel like the residents are just numbers and the comfort, loving, and family like atmosphere he’s quickly fading…and I mean quickly. We will definitely be monitoring this situation and I would advise anyone who has family here to talk with your loved ones and ask them because more than a handful of other residents has already come to our loved ones about similar feelings regarding this new lady. This is no way a “morning star” review as much as it is a review about this new director that clearly has a some communication, professional and respect issues. You’ve been warned!
