I’ve had a really positive experience with Hathaway Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care. The staff are incredibly kind and genuinely care about the residents, which makes a huge difference. The building is always clean, safe, and has a really comfortable, home-like feel instead of feeling like a hospital. They also offer a lot of activities, so residents stay engaged and don’t feel bored or isolated. One thing that really stands out is how they handle memory care. The staff are patient and trained to work with people who have Alzheimer’s or dementia, and they make sure everyone feels respected and supported. The food is good, and they offer helpful services like housekeeping, transportation, and even a salon, which makes daily life easier and more enjoyable. I cannot say enough great things about Hathaway Hills Assisted Living. The staff here are truly incredible—kind, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure residents feel cared for and supported. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. The environment itself is warm, welcoming, and so comfortable. It truly feels like a home, not just a community. From the atmosphere to the daily care, everything is centered around making residents feel safe, happy, and valued. The Executive Director deserves special recognition—she goes above and beyond every single day. She makes sure everyone who walks through the doors feels welcomed and appreciated, and she works tirelessly to ensure the building runs smoothly. Her leadership creates a culture filled with love, respect, and positivity. I would absolutely recommend Hathaway Hills to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be genuinely cared for and treated like family.

When we first moved my mother into Hathaway Hills we were very happy. I think at the time I even left a 5 star review! It all went downhill after Leslie left. The majority of the staff was good, we did have some petty theft happening while she was there. She did suffer one bad fall that never should’ve happened while the staff was caring for her. She had the smallest room in the place, which was the size of a postage stamp. It worked for her since she’s blind, but they kept hiking the price up over and over and over again as well as her level of care price. The BEST thing we ever did was move her to an assisted living in Cedar Springs where she has a living room and separate bedroom for $1,700 less per month (that was the price difference when she moved, I’m sure it would be A LOT higher now!) Hathaway Hills is ALL about the money! When you tell them you’re moving be prepared to continue to pay for the room well after vacate (read your contract!) and then they might even hit you with replacing the carpeting like they did us. Do yourself a HUGE favor and look elsewhere for your loved one. Best decision we ever made was to make the move out of here.

Hathaway Hills is an amazing community for seniors for both assisted living needs and memory care. I have been able to see first hand how caring the entire staff leads with compassion and dignity for each of the residents that live here! I would absolutely choose Hathaway Hills for my loved ones if the time ever came.
