Relocated my father here, love the small community staff goes above and beyond they are so caring and very pleasant! I'm bringing my dad closer to me as I live out of state but I am really going to miss the staff as well as the residents. They made my dad and I feel so welcomed and comfortable. Thank you all so much you feel like family!!!!!!

Sadly this property did not live up to expectations. I was told by many that this place was a great tight knit community, and due to its size the residents would be more likely to get one on one care. Most the staff was very sweet and friendly when we took the tour (for my grandmother) and we were feeling quite optimistic at first, that is until lunch... The "chef" could be heard yelling at the staff clear across the dining room as well as slamming doors and throwing things. At one point a young lady came back to the dining room to serve food in tears and udder shambles. Upon inquiring about this to another staff member we were told his name is Shawn and this behaviour is unfortunately a regular occurrence and that todays fit was apparently due to a resident requesting a second helping!...excuse me! Isn't feeding the residents his only job!?!?! Later he came to talk to everyone like nothing had happened and like he didn't just serve the most disgusting bland food I've ever had the misfortune to eat. Then the icing on the cake, while getting into the car and getting ready to leave my husband and I could smell the distinct smell of marijuana. Upon sneaking a peek around the building the so called chef could be seen smoking marijuana behind the dumpster still in uniform!!! This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in one of these communities and would never in my wildest dreams would i subject my grandmother to living in a place where that man is in charge of her meals. I took several photographs of him smoking and have sent copies to the state with a detailed report. I understand that it is indeed legal now but in no way is it acceptable to be intoxicated at work! As a medical professional myself using on the job has and always be grounds for immediate termination. I hope this communities higher ups at least have enough professionalism to get rid of someone who obviously does not care for the residence their coworkers or their well being!

I am an eighty five year old man who is picky about living space. I shopped for days and visited a bunch of care facilities. I have a friend who chose Glassford Place for his wife and later himself. He was very positive about Glassford Place. I trusted his judgment and my own impression following a visit. The people who work here are all fantastic from care givers to chefs. The chefs puree my food for me because I can not swallow otherwise. They custom do it just for me. This is special and typical of the wonderful people who work at Glassford Place.

I am a local social worker who is in and out of facilities all the time. We have removed all of our clients from this facility due to the poor management and subsequent care. Staff does the best they can. But unfortunately, it is not being run by qualified professionals. I’ve reached out to the corporate office with no response, which is consistent with the level of concern for the welfare of the clients. Some of the issues include things like lack of supplies, poor quality food, inconsistent staffing, and a lack of a alert system that requires Care Givers to interrupt residence sleep every 30 minutes all night in order to confirm they don’t need anything. Needless to say, this would not be a place I would be considering for clients or loved ones
