Our dad moved to the Margaret T Morris Center four months ago from another memory care residence in Minnesota in order to be closer to family. We are thrilled with absolutely everything MTMC has been able to provide him, in terms of care, activities, food, socialization/community, outdoor access, ... the list goes on! MTMC has also given us as family members wonderful support, including access to a caregiver support group that meets on line every other week. As someone who has seen four family members navigate the memory care journey, I have seen (and had loved ones living in) a wide variety of facilities in Arizona, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. I can honestly say that MTMC is the gold standard of memory care. They have staff and management with long track records of working there -- some into their third decade. MTMC is dementia-specific, so they can focus solely on the needs of those with memory loss issues. I also appreciate the fact they are a non-profit, which means they are not beholden to corporate interests/shareholders and can provide services that center the residents. MTMC is truly an amazing place for our dad to consider home in this last chapter of his life, and our family is so fortunate to have found our way here!

My wife initially had a positive experience at Margaret T Morris. The staff treated her with kindness and respect. Unfortunately, things changed after she had an altercation with another resident. While I understand that these situations can be challenging in a shared living environment, I was deeply disappointed with how management handled it. Instead of working to resolve the conflict or mediate between the two residents, their only response was to issue my wife a 24-hour notice to vacate. This decision felt abrupt, unfair, and lacking in compassion—especially given her previous good conduct and the relationships she had built there. For a facility that promotes itself as caring and resident-focused, this response fell far short of our expectations. It’s unfortunate that what began as a positive experience ended in such a distressing manner. I hope management will reflect on this situation and implement more supportive and fair conflict resolution practices in the future.

My sister was not treated well here. The facility was very short staffed. Often we couldn't find her. She suffered from anxiety, most likely to her needs not being met. I also think she was over medicated.

My mum has lived here for nearly two years and I couldn't be happier. How they handled COVID guidelines was excellent and I knew my mum was safe. Now that we are back to "normal", activities and outings are back in effect. The Director of Nursing takes great care to know all her residents and is easy to talk to and answer questions. From the front desk to housekeeping, staff is friendly and welcoming. I love their pet visits by Pam & Frankie and they even allow Mum's pug, Polly Anna, to visit frequently in her buggy. The BEST memory care in town because that is their specialty. 💜
