Gardens at Wakefield

A year and a half ago was a challenging time for my mom. She was torn between continuing to stay in her home or moving to a senior living community. She felt the need for community but didn’t want to loose her home or “independence”. She had visited several communities but couldn’t decide what would fit for her— what if she moved, sold her home and hated it? Could she support paying for two places while only living in one? The Gardens was running a program at that time that allowed her to moved. She moved all of her stuff in that would fit and began the journey of Senior Living - 3 prepared meals per day, activities with new friends, in house movies, transportation to shopping and some doctors appointments and wait for it —- housekeeping once a week. Who wouldn’t love it? …. Who wouldn’t love living your best life. AND on days when you don’t want or feel like interacting— just stay in. This was an excellent opportunity to start another chapter. It’s been a great experience for our mom and an excellent way to acquire friends at this stage of life. I’d recommend it for any family who wants their parent or parents to continue to have independence but they need support for their folks and themselves. The Gardens at Wakefield provided that cover for our family and I’m so happy we found them and our mom chose them. No regrets in the experience — we’d make the same decision again.

Holiday Gardens at Wakefield Is the Best Choice we have ever made for my Mother! I am amazed at the clean facility, the spacious clean rooms, the meals that my mom raves about, and the activities that have taken my mom out of isolation and made her spiritually and physically better! And to the other staff, Heather (billing) and Tiffany (front desk) for always being helpful and friendly to my family and my MOM!

As a friend of residents who live at Gardens at Wakefield, I can honestly say I love visiting this place! My friends are so happy here. :) They especially like the management team and the many activities and programs offered each day. And they've made a lot of new friends since moving in - so they're never bored - ha! It's also very convenient that the community offers onsite primary care and footcare services from local providers - they actually come to the residents! Regarding the food - I've never heard them complain - nor do they skip any meals (that says a lot)! And again, as a visitor, I'm always greeted with a smile and warm welcome - it's all very special. I would gladly recommend Gardens at Wakefield to any senior searching for a safe, clean Independent Living community offering a quality of life unmatched by other similar places. My mother moved to Holiday Gardens two months ago and she is very happy there. When I first toured the place, I noticed how friendly and happy the residents were. Then I brought my mother there and she noticed it, too. The residents genuinely like living there. The staff is very responsive to concerns and care about the residents. This was a good move for my mother.
