Fieldstone Memory Care of Silverdale

My dad was one of the very first residents at this beautiful facility in Silverdale, Washington, and our family has been incredibly grateful for the care he has received over the past five years. The staff has consistently provided excellent care, and the leadership team is truly outstanding. Now, as my dad is in the final days of his life and under hospice care, we’ve been reflecting on his time here. We are so thankful for the meaningful relationships he and our entire family have built, especially with Stephanie and her wonderful team. We wholeheartedly recommend this community to anyone seeking compassionate, high-quality care for a loved one.

My mom was here for the final months of her life, after moving up from their Assisted Living property. While it was a big change from assisted living, I am grateful that she was here in the end. She did not have dementia, but required a higher level of care. It was an adjustment at first, but the staff were very attentive to my requests and questions. They treated her with dignity and respect and were interested in her whole person, not just the final version of her. They took feedback well, and since it is a small community, they were able to adjust to meet her needs. I looked into a lot of facilities for this level of care, and Fieldstone has the largest rooms, best amenities, and doesn't feel like a nursing home does. We were able to fit a queen size bed, recliner, and desk in her room and decorate it to her liking. I am grateful for the staff's kindness and care during this difficult stage of my life.

Everyone with the Silverdale Fieldstone was kind and very helpful, from the Campus Community Relations Director, Nettie, to the memory care office staff, and the staff in the memory care wing. My mother and my family were well cared for and supported from the searching, then application process, to moving her belongings out after she passed.

My dad has been in memory care at Fieldstone since August 2021, and they have cared for him very well. The caregivers and nursing staff are attentive and kind, the management team is always involved and available, the cooks go out of their way to make tasty meals (even making sure my dad gets an early bowl of oatmeal before regular breakfast time), the cleaning staff pays attention to details, and the activities staff is creative and fun. There are lots of activities for the residents to participate in, including a weekly bus outing that my dad particularly enjoys. The Fieldstone team makes a special event out of every holiday with decorations and special foods. Like every healthcare facility right now, Fieldstone Memory Care has had staffing issues, but they have still maintained very high standards. Based on our experiences with my dad's care, when it came time for my mom to move into an assisted-living facility a year ago, we chose Fieldstone on Clear Creek—right next door—without hesitation, and we're very glad we did.
