The assistant living “The Cottage” in Bremerton, Washington is such a wonderful place for our mom. She is taken such good care of by all the staff members. They listen, they care and help her. The family all live out of state and just feel a sense of comfort knowing our mom is in Great hands that care and love her❤️Thank you to everyone of you💝

Our mother has lived at the Cottages for 1 year. This has been a blessing for her and our family. The level of care and facility is beyond expectations. The kind competent Nurses and support staff have given us confidence in her care. We are very grateful to have her safe and taken care of at the Cottages. David Tift

When searching for an assisted living facility we learned which questions to ask the hard way. Cascade has wonderful sales reps. What they sell you is not what you get. Important questions to ask: - How many RN’s on staff? - Does this facility have a dedicated nurses station? - if so, where is it located in relation to our room? - How many of the nurses/line staff are floaters, circulating between which buildings and where? - what is line staff turnover? Our experience at Cascade included a stellar, documented Care Plan that was not followed. Cascade, like so many of these places, is understaffed and overwhelmed. We lasted six months with unreported injuries, wet unchecked diapers. Discussions with administrators led not to more support for overworked staff, but to social isolation — as if we were the problem. We lasted six months. We pay more now but we also have bed checks every 2-3 hours for dry pull-ups, meds etc. 6 RNs on staff with a nurses station in close proximity. A dining table with others, and any skin tear or injury no matter how small results in a personal phone call within the hour. Staff are happy to be here, they smile a lot and when they appear — which is often— my sense is that attending to my loved ones is an honor not another task. Second round we quit relying on the facility sales rep and worked through a brokerage. Much cleaner and transparent process.

My dad is very happy at the Willows! He loves all the social interaction, and the food. Although I must say he’s gained too much weight! Thanks for being so attentive!🎄🎄🎄
