Élan Manatee Assisted Living and Memory Care

Elan Manatee has truly become a wonderful home for my mom. From the moment you step inside, everything feels inviting — the building is always spotless, beautifully decorated, and designed for comfort. But what stands out most is the Elan Manatee staff. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They know my mom by name, check in with her often, and make sure she’s eating well and staying active. My mom has made several new friends since moving in, and seeing her connect with others has brought us so much peace of mind. The friendships she’s formed — with both residents and staff — have become an extension of our own family. We could not be happier with the care and community she has found at Elan Manatee!

My mother moved into Elan Manatee in September 2019, just days after the facility opened. Since it was brand new, it smelled good and was really beautiful. However, in all honesty, when she passed in March 2025, none of that had changed as it was just as clean and fresh as the day she moved in. This is no easy feat as so many new residents have moved there, compared to those early months/years. (Kudos to their maintenance man, who is a jack of ALL trades and wears many hats.) Notably the facility manager also remained there throughout my mother’s residency, and is still there today, along with some other original members of the administrative staff. It is extremely helpful when a resident suffers from dementia that they have that continuity of seeing familiar faces. Elan is an active community, and they plan many fun activities for the residents. Although they are kept busy, they also enjoy sufficient downtime to interact with each other and form friendships. It’s a great place, and one I highly recommend. It was definitely a wonderful choice for us since there are so many other local facilities to choose from. You will not go wrong in moving your loved one to Elan Manatee, and you can rest assured they will receive quality care in a loving environment.

'Elan is a wonderful place for someone that wants to have a family-type atmosphere in a caring environment. My mom spent the last several years of her life there and I got to know some of the staff members quite well. They go beyond what is required and that is something that is hard to find these days. They truly treat their residents with respect and compassion. Thanks Shannon, Whitney, Melissa, Sam and all the support folks for taking such good care of my mom!

Elan is the BEST kept secret in Lakewood ranch- The facilities are clean and beautiful and most importantly the STAFF is amazing. OMG the staff- the caregivers, the nursing staff, the activity director, the dining room staff- everyone here is top notch! This team is hands on and full of love and light. They go above and beyond at every turn. They make the tough times better and are always looking for ways to engage the residents for fun! My mother was cared for at Elan and loved the food and felt empowered to be in her own place while still having the best of the best people to support her care. Elan and the people who work here are a true blessing! As on only child and without family in FL, I've felt the support of the whole Elan family every step of the way. The director, Shannon, is amazing and her staff reflect her loving leadership. I could go on and on! Elan Manatee is the ONLY Assited Living place in Lakewood Ranch- in my humble opinion. The BEST!
