The community itself is beautifully maintained, with clean, modern spaces and a warm, inviting atmosphere. There are plenty of activities and social events, making it easy to stay engaged and meet new people. I especially appreciate the variety of amenities offered—they really make day-to-day living enjoyable and stress-free. The dining experience is also a highlight, with delicious meals and plenty of options to choose from. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into creating a positive and enriching environment for residents. Overall, I would highly recommend Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay to anyone looking for a vibrant, supportive, and well-managed independent living community.

As Sharon Basick's sister, Barb, I share these comments on behalf of my entire family. Sharon has been a resident at Discovery Village for the past 4 years, Independent, Assisted, now Memory Care. If you're looking for a community for your loved one, do as we did 4 years ago and do not think twice. The moment I walked in the door the first time, it truly felt like a wonderful place for my sister to call home. It's hard to find the words to describe how incredibly caring, compassionate, kind and loving the entire staff is in all 3 communities. I'll share just a brief example of the display of love we recently received. It became apparent that it was time for my sister to transition to memory care to keep her safe. We suddenly had to find new homes for her dog and cat. Between one day of packing and moving her the next day, I emailed Nicole, the Executive Director, about my concerns with surrendering KC and Snowy to a humane society. After reaching out to her entire staff, Nicole had successfully found new, loving homes for both pets the very next day. This is just an example of how her entire staff responds and reacts to all concerns. If I could give them a higher rating, I would without hesitation! Nicole, you are so loved and appreciated, along with your entire staff! Thank you for making the heartbreaking experience of saying goodbye to these 2 pets so much better!!! 💖... Barb Azzara

If you have dreamed of living in a resort or on a cruise ship - look no further! Discovery Village has it all - beautiful setting, a caring staff to accommodate your lifestyle, wide range of food choices and variety of activities. And best of all a chance to meet new companions to keep you interested and engaged. I wanted to be able to participate in local activities and it is an easy drive to arts and sports facilities. DV provides organized excursions, in house lectures and workshops and lively entertainment during cocktail hour. I’m 83, have lived here 2 years and consider moving in one of the best decisions I’ve made in recent years.

A beautiful, new building that’s been home to us for 9 months. The staff is caring, the food is excellent, the activities plentiful and residents are happy to be here and friendly and welcoming to all. We enjoy the resort vibe of the community where our apartment has beautiful finishes and the entire complex has amazed our family and made us grateful to call Discovery our home.
