Crescent Point at Niantic

Our mother is 91 and this past January our father passed away. Our mother has only lived in a small Pennsylvania town and I asked her to move to Crescent Point at Niantic this summer to be near my family. I consulted with Linda Farrell and she completely embraced our situation. She described our options and made the transition as simple as possible. Our mother is very comfortable and is well taken care of. Rebecca and Olivia ensure that mom has the opportunity to engage in the daily activities and they truly embrace bringing the best out in all the residents. The outings, the music performers, bingo, ice cream socials, card games, manicures/bubbly and the Niantic Center School children who visit and then read to the residents make each week very fulfilling and entertaining. The staff who support the dining, like Maria, Teresa , and Janet are amazing as well. She enjoys the food and all the dining options. All the nurses and the aides are above exceptional like Rachael, Mandy, Sarah, Sonya, Jen, Teresa, Rowan, Sam, Rasland, Stephanie, Sherry, April, Kidith, Steve, Shar, and Gigi, and apologies to all those that I can't name off the top of my head. The ladies who run the check-in area Marge, Greta, Deb, and Donna are so very thoughtful and kind. Those like Diana who smiles every day and make the place so clean every day. The administrative staff Jessica, Erica, Deb, and Courtney,and all of those whose support made the transition very smooth. I'm sorry that I can't name all those who have made our situation so enjoyable prior to the move and those now. Our mom is very comfortable and happy, because of the environment created by Crescent Point at Niantic employees.

During a very challenging time, I visited all of the local assisted living options - for an out-of-state move for both of my parents. All of the management and staff at Crescent Point were friendly and helpful throughout the transition. One of my parents has fully integrated into the community - making new friends and enjoying the range of activities and events. My other parent is more difficult, but the staff has been as supportive as they can. I feel welcome when I visit and my two young children enjoy visiting too, which makes me very happy.

My husband and I are so thankful that his mother is now living at Crescent Point. Linda Farrell was a great help getting us through the process of transferring her from another facility. Linda made the experience quick and easy. Each and every one of the staff at Crescent Point are friendly, helpful and courteous. They treat the residents with patience, kindness and the respect that they deserve. Thank you all very much for caring for our loved one! Words cannot express how very grateful we are! My parents have been residents for almost 3 years and have moved from being completely independent to needing substantial assistance (and one passing away). While there are things that can/should be improved, the facility is/was excellent on many key needs. My parents were happy, engaged in many activities and were known personally by staff. The staff overall is attentive, professional, kind. Nurses were proactive when they identified additional needs/safety concerns. Care is expensive (although relatively priced) but they are pretty transparent about costs and needs. Some of the health care restrictions create hurdles that are frustrating but are a result of state/federal regulations. We would recommend.
