0/0 The management team here is ineffective. The chef has a reputation for being unprofessional, often crossing boundaries with staff and being overly familiar. The new executive hasn’t brought any real change since Sunrise, Elance, or Cogir took over. There’s still a lack of proper management and leadership standards.

I didn’t know much about the property but I was very interested. My tour guide was so courteous, kind, and patient and went into detail to answer all of my questions. Erin was very courteous and passionate about insuring my experience at the property was top-tier.

I recently visited Elance in Old Town and met with Erin Jenkins, Community Sales Director. I’m considering facilities for a loved one, and Elance came highly recommended. The property is absolutely beautiful, providing all of the amenities I’m looking for. Equally as important, Erin was amazing!! She was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate…traits that are critical when seeking a new “home” for family. She also paid attention to the smallest of details which was very impressive. They are so lucky to have Erin on their team. Of all the places I’ve visited, this is #1 on my list. Great job Erin!

I moved in as a Founder in 2021. I wanted to be close to my condo friends 6 blocks away, plus I enjoy Old Town Alexandria. I was impressed with our Activities, and the close neighbor Classical Movements. I became actively involved with the Resident Council and continue today as President (no one offering to become Vice). I have high admiration for our concierge staff and several of our Care Managers. I admit that we now have our 6th Chef. We had a management change over last July. Things are improving, some need more work. Over all, I have no family left to assist, hence, I moved here. Sadly my favorite concierge recently left. I am sad that there is such a high turnover of staff. Happily we now have new staff, and yet another intern Executive Director. I would like to acknowledge several excellent Care Managers with thanks for their always cheerful attitude and dedication. I would like to thank our original Activities Coordinator for all her service, support, and continued friendship. Cheers ❗️
