Coachman Square at Woodbridge

Our mother was a resident of Coachman’s Square in Woodbridge. She was in sound mind, good health and needed some assistance, so we chose Coachman’s. When we made the decision to move her there we were told that she would have excellent care and that we would never have to worry about her. We instilled our trust in them. That was partially true as some of the aides took excellent care of her. Then that horrific morning when another aide was supposedly taking care of her and our mother took a hard fall and broke her back in several places and sustained other injuries. She was hospitalized and she was in ICU and never recovered. Our mother died from the results of this fall. Our lives are forever shattered and we miss our mother dearly. 💔

Today I had the opportunity to visit Coachman Square at Woodbridge. My first impression was priceless when I met Lesley Pearson, Director of Community Relations. Her welcoming personality, enthusiasm and pride in representing Coachman, was sincere and invigorating. The common spaces were plentiful and offered so many different opportunities for residents to engage and thrive. The apartments were spacious and bright. The warmth of the staff topped off my positive experience.

Would like the residents to be able to go out more..... It was brought to my attention.. that some of these residents have to pay extra to get transportation to appointments if a family member can't accompany them. These residents pay nearly 8-12k per mth.. a simple thing as 1 staff member to ride the bus to accompany them shouldn't be an issue... A family member of mine witnessed an incident a long, long time ago a resident was attempting to get off the bus, the driver expressed concerns for the method the resident want to get on & off the bus... the resident told the bus driver they do it all the time.. the resident ended up falling down... I hope the driver didn't get in trouble & that the resident is ok.. I feel it isn't the drivers fault, as they clearly said didn't want the resident to do it... Coachman as a company shouldnt be allowing residents to go on & off the bus in unsafe manners... I heard its an absolute beautiful place... however... I also heard Outings for residents get canceled constantly, because corporate doesn't wish to spend the $... The family feels soo sorry for the staff, most are extremely nice & go above & beyond what they need to do, but yet dont get paid what they should be getting.. despite the $ the residents pay for that care.. its hard to find ppl that care.. especially if corporations dont care.. & just wanna pretend they are doing everything within their power to give residents the best remaining days of their senior lives... when in reality.. they act greedy behind the scenes... Its just sad.. that seniors get taken advantage of in their old age like this.. & then when their personal $ runs out they get booted out.. they pay for your services, give them the services the deserve... dont be petty.. let them live life.. while they can.. safely... Outside of this, I am told its an absolutely beautiful & homey place...

The food was another standout—absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. It’s clear that residents enjoy thoughtful, high-quality dining experiences every day. What truly made my visit unforgettable, however, was the outstanding tour given by Lesley Pearson. She was not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly kind and enthusiastic. Lesley took the time to thoughtfully explain every detail and truly brought the spirit of Coachman Square to life. Her passion for the community was evident, and she made me feel confident that this is a place where residents are genuinely cared for and valued. Coachman Square at Woodbridge stands out as a top-tier senior living option that prioritizes comfort, engagement, and well-being. I highly recommend it—and if you visit, be sure to ask for Lesley!
