Mom could no longer live alone so we visited 3 different facilities in the area. Clarendale was by far the best choice and I have been absolutely delighted with our experience. Her apartment in independent living is spacious and lovely. The staff are endlessly patient and accommodating. The director and management are consistently planning sessions to hear from residents and making improvements based on feedback. The dining staff are incredibly thoughtful and friendly. The activities are comprehensive and well tailored to resident interest. In a situation that is so challenging (leaving your home) Clarendale has been a fantastic decision.

Very friendly and professional staff at Clarendale Indian Lake. It is such a welcoming environment. The sales team made my Mom's move to independent living as seamless as possible. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. Everyone has gone out of their way to be kind and make my mom feel welcome. The food is very good, especially the desserts. We are so thankful for this place!

Clarendale has been home to my in-laws these last few years. It was a very good transition from living in their home and needing a lot of help. Since my father-in-law has passed away my mother-in-law has been able to enjoy the friendships that she has made there. We are most thankful for First Baptist Church providing a wonderful weekly Bible study for the residents. Also on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening the residents can attend the services on a large screen in a community room. The church provides bulletins and even communion on communion Sundays. Clarendale provides many opportunities for activities. My mother-in-law especially enjoys the musical programs. I recommend that you tour the facility and meet some of the staff. We have been pleased.

I am disappointed in the cleanliness of the facility in the memory care unit. The carpet in the sitting room adjacent to the dining room looks filthy at the entrance. I did not go in to see the rest. My friend’s room is cluttered with stuff and doesn’t seem to be clean. When I entered her room she was asleep on her bed, not covered, and had a diaper on that was not secured. Just laying under her and on top. I think she should have been covered with a sheet or a blanket. I wouldn’t want to be left like that. And she’s one of the nicest people I know. Of course now, she sleeps most of the time. She’s been there almost two years I think. Please respect her and other patients by covering them with care, anyone could walk in. And keep her room clean. I haven’t felt it was clean in a while. That could keep some people from visiting. We don’t know what she is aware of because of Alzheimer’s. She should be treated as if she’s aware of everything. Like you would want your mother to be cared for.
