I can’t say enough good things about Chatsworth at PGA. My mother-in-law fell and broke some bones and after an excellent tour and meeting with the Director, Kris, we chose Chatsworth for her care. The staff was so caring and professional. The nurses and the aides were wonderful. PT and OT got her walking again. No one gave up on a very dire situation. The facilities are beautiful and comfortable. We visited regularly, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

My Love one had been to Chadsworth before this is why we choose it .It wasn't spectacular last time but figured familiarity was best for a 90 yr old. Needed some rehab after a extended stay at hospital . The place now is terrible very disorganized, food svc would send her anything instead of her chosen food . The aides there only 2 nice ones the rest were rude, one aide said I am not helping her in the. Bathroom , keep her in bed let her pee in bed. Now mind you we had a pvt aide but aide needed help at times. The physical therapy head was rude and condescending and kept saying we've seen her before as to say what not sure why she kept reminding us of that. This happened several times. My loved one did show progress after 2 weeks but the head of therapy had already planned Dis-charged . The therapist actually working with her said she was showing good progress but was time to leave we were only there 16 days . The nurses were excellent would help when they were in room to help our pvt aide but facility's aides would never come check in nothing... Some days my Loved one wouldn't get her pills until 1pm or later . This only happened handful of times but still . I would never ever recommend this place , i've spoken to quite a few people in the medical field they have said the same that chadsworth has gone way downhill..

This facility may look clean and inviting on the surface, but the level of care my husband received was deeply disappointing and even dangerous. I’m giving two stars solely because of the one aides who actually did their jobs and treated my husband with kindness. Beyond that, the experience was unacceptable. My husband, who has diabetes, was not given proper medical attention. His blood sugar wasn’t checked for the first three days of his stay, and he was only there for four days total. One night, he didn’t even receive his insulin. By the time they checked his sugar, it was in the high 200s, the nurse claimed they were out of it. I did speak to management. Despite repeated requests for a diabetic-appropriate menu, he was served food high in carbohydrates — even cake topped with jelly. This is completely inappropriate for someone with diabetes and shows a complete lack of attention to dietary needs. Finding staff during visits was a challenge. On one midday visit, there was no one at the nurse’s station. I had to ask a maintenance worker to help me find someone — not exactly comforting in a medical facility. Their so-called "nurse call system" is a cheap plastic squeeze button with no speaker or intercom, meaning patients have no idea if anyone even hears them. I personally witnessed my husband press the button and wait an unacceptably long time for help. If he'd been on the floor, who knows what could have happened? I get the button for people that cant speak but there should be an alternative for those that may be one the floor. He was transferred to Chatsworth to finish three days of IV medication and was supposed to come home afterward. Instead, the facility tried to extend his stay to two weeks without justification. I double checked with PAM his rehab prior case worker and it was confirmed that he was only to stay 3 days. I removed him after three days. It’s disheartening that a place that looks this nice could provide such substandard, negligent care. If this is considered one of the “better” facilities, I truly fear for those in worse ones. The one good thing to come out of this experience? My husband is now more determined than ever to do everything in his power to stay healthy — just so he never has to go back. I have made a complaint to Medicare as well.

I was just in Chadsworth after a hospital stay for back surgery . It was terrible and I had private help. The head of therapy was rude to me, I am very anxious anyway , I needed time to get comfortable as I wasn’t walking they wouldn’t allow my aide to come with me for hippa reasons . The aides were rude when my aides needed help because I was weak. One aide told my private aide put her in bed now make her pee in bed . The whole reason I had Aide’s with me as so I wouldn’t have to lay in bed and pee. My aide kept telling doctor there that she thought I had a UTI he answered I am not concerned about that . I was only there 2 weeks . I went home and ended up in hospital the next day with a acute UTI . Don’t put your family there it’s terrible , A lot of disorganization. Everywhere . The nurses that gave m my pills were nice but sometimes I got my meds at 9am and other days 11 or 12 . I would never ever recommend chars worth and it was my choice to go .
