I had the pleasure of attending the 2025 Annual Chateau Fest at Chateau of McKinney, and it was such a wonderful experience! The event was beautifully organized by Kayla and Clinton from the delicious food and drinks to the incredible live jazz performances, everything was perfect. The residents at the Chateau are always smiling, laughing, and so full of life, which speaks volumes about the care and atmosphere of the community. Kayla and Clinton have such genuine, personal relationships with each resident, making the Chateau feel truly like home. As a fellow professional in the senior care community, I’m grateful to partner with such a warm and dedicated team.

Holiday Chateau McKinney has been incredibly wonderful and accommodating to work with. We are moving from out of state - and from the virtual tour, the in person tour, allowing my mother to have the model apartment, meeting with residents, meeting with staff (including the Activity Director and the General Manager of the community), I feel assured that my mother will be well taken care of. I look forward to being an active participant in my mom's life at Holiday Chateau. I know she will love it!

My Dad has lived at The Chateau for almost two years. The Chateau is a nice place overall, but it does have a couple of issues. The pros are the floor plans are great. They have garages as well, which has helped my Dad with storage concerns. The people are very nice. The residents are also very nice, and I really like that about the property. The cons though, are big: the food is the first one. The property seems to have trouble keeping kitchen staff and specifically chefs. When my Dad moved here, we thought he would be eating most of his meals in the dining room, but that did not end up being the case. Also, the back door of the property (my Dad lives in the back of building 4) does not lock. It's supposed to be a mag lock, but most of the time my father has lived here, the door has not functioned properly, and most of the time it is unlocked. The back of the property is enclosed by a gate, but there is still a security risk. Other than these items, Dad has enjoyed his time living at Chateau.

I am a resident at Chateau McKinney. I gave 41/2* due to our staff constantly looking for ways to make our lives better. They love us, and we love them!! Numerous activities are available--my favorites: church services available on Sunday, bean bag baseball, walking, exercise equipment, entertainers monthly, crafts, and time with staff and residents, the many opportunities to volunteer, and time to just relax. Visit for yourself and see if this is the home for you,or bring your independent love one to visit and see if this is the home for them. I AM BLESSED TO CALL THIS IS MY HOME AND I LOVE IT!!!!!
